The worldview, religion and language, culture and history of any nation are closely connected with folklore. Folklore is a huge branch of national spiritual and cultural wealth, which has been passed down from generation to generation along with the nature of the national character. The riddle is inextricably linked with the life of the folk and helps to learn the encoded information in the memory of the people. A riddle is a part of folklore, a guessing game, a creation of the mind that dates back to ancient times. Over many centuries, the external substantive nature of the riddle has changed, but its subject, internal content has not lost the relevance of the study. Riddles of a religious nature, on the one hand, reflect the history of the development of folk culture, on the other hand, reflect the traditional worldview feature. The main purpose of the article is the theological study of Kazakh and English riddles, that is, the study of the role of religion in history and culture through religious riddles. The search for similarities between the Islamic Koran and the biblical plot in riddles is considered one of the main tasks of the topic. Considering the riddles in the English and Kazakh languages, which is the relevance of the research topic, from the religious aspect contributes to a deeper understanding of the national worldview of people and teaches critical thinking. Interpretation of religious riddles in Kazakh and English languages, which differ in religion and language, is directly related to ethnocultural features. Therefore, in the future, the study of riddles of a religious nature from different angles will undoubtedly be of interest not only for philologists, but also for anthropologists and theologians, ethnologists and culturologists, humanitarians in general. Based on the research of domestic scientists, the article analyzes the development trends of Islam in the history of Kazakhstan, studies the ways and means of its influence on the integration and disintegration processes of national identity and the dynamics of society development. The authors aim to reveal the essence of the negative consequences of politicized Islam that took place in modern religious conditions, evaluating the status, true position and role of Islam in Kazakh society. The research examines the negative impact of the ideological basis of radical Islamic organizations on the national security of Kazakhstan, interethnic and interfaith stability in society, and also analyzes the main trends in the modernization of traditional Islam as the spiritual pillar of society. The methodological basis of the article is the comparative-historical, phenomenological, systemic methods. Based on the dialectical principle, methods such as causal analysis and social analytics were used. In conclusion, the authors come to the conclusion that the duty of traditional Islam is to be the spiritual support of society in the implementation of the secular policy of the state in Kazakhstan, to form tolerance and religious tolerance, to support interethnic and interreligious harmony, as well as to prevent conflicts related to religion and nationality. The scientific conclusions of the article can be used by civil servants, researchers and teachers in the process of studying and teaching religious studies according to state programs, improving the spiritual sphere of society. There are many historical figures in the Kazakh steppe who are known and distinguished by their wisdom and eloquence. Their poems and wisdom thoughts, which they left as a cultural heritage for generations, require special and comprehensive study. After all, the oral folk literature, which is one of the main sources of our history, fully describes the events and features of social relations in that historical period. Among the historical figures with such distinctive features, it is appropriate to include Kabylisa zhyrau. After all, through the poems of Kabylis, they give information about such important issues as the peculiarities of the development of traditional Kazakh society in the XVIII-XIX centuries, the worldview of the Kazakh people. Of course, one of the most important topics in the work of Zhyrau, such as Kabylis, is the issue of religion. In the course of the research, we will prove the high level of religious education by analyzing the works of Kabylisa Zhyrau. Today, researchers are particularly interested in the analysis of religious themes in the works of poets and zhyrau, such as Kabylis, which have a special place in history. It is appropriate that the words of wisdom and psalms of our scholars, who learned the basics of traditional faith and conveyed the basic concepts of Islam in a convenient way to the people, become a new direction for today's research work.
