The article focuses on a study for determination of potential role of epidermal growth factor receptors (EGFR) proteins expression in endometrial stromal sarcomas. It highlights that the EGFR expression can help in development of adjuvant therapies for the neoplasm. It mentions that the EGFR protein overexpression which is determined by immunohistochemistry is important diagnostic procedure for analysis of disease progression in endometrial stromal sarcomas.

The article presents a study which aims to evaluate the immunohistochemical positivity of the anti-epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) antigen (BerEP4), carcinoembyonic antigen (CEA), and cancer antigen 125 (CA-125) in ovarian cancer. The study used 62 cases of malignant ovarian tumors and immunohistochemistry was performed by the University of Sassari Institute of Pathology. Results show that CEA was positive in 10 out of the 62 and BerEP4 was positive in 45 out of 62.
