Customers who upgrade to Windows Server 2003, developed by Redmond, Washington-based computer software developer Microsoft Corp., may have to pay more than expected, due to a host of layered add-on services scheduled to ship over the next six to nine months as of May 13, 2003.The company is considering charging users for add-on services that would be released after the initial launch of the product this week in San Francisco, California.Services provided by the company include the company's Real-Time Communications Server, Active Directory Application Mode and Windows Rights Management, among others.
