This article discusses the use of phosphorus-32 (32P) microparticles for the treatment of locally advanced pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). PDAC is a leading cause of mortality globally, and current treatment options for inoperable cases are limited. The article highlights the potential of internal radiation therapy (IRT) using 32P microparticles as an alternative therapeutic option. Several clinical studies have shown promising results, including reductions in tumor volume and improved disease control rates. However, further research is needed to determine the optimal timing and efficacy of this treatment approach. [Extracted from the article]
