Grain-oriented silicon steel (GO FeSi) laminations are vital components for efficient energy conversion in electromagnetic devices. While traditionally optimized for power frequencies of 50/60 Hz, the pursuit of higher frequency operation (f ≥ 200 Hz) promises enhanced power density. This paper introduces a model for estimating GO FeSi laminations' magnetic behavior under these elevated operational frequencies. The proposed model combines the Maxwell diffusion equation and a material law derived from a fractional differential equation, capturing the viscoelastic characteristics of the magnetization process. Remarkably, the model's dynamical contribution, characterized by only two parameters, achieves a notable 4.8% Euclidean relative distance error across the frequency spectrum from 50 Hz to 1 kHz. The paper's initial section offers an exhaustive description of the model, featuring comprehensive comparisons between simulated and measured data. Subsequently, a methodology is presented for the localized segregation of magnetic losses into three conventional categories: hysteresis, classical, and excess, delineated across various tested frequencies. This paper aims to incorporate the fractional derivative viscoelastic model into a finite element analysis. Firstly, based on the constitutive equation of the fractional derivative three-parameter solid model (FTS), the constitutive equation is discretized by using the Grünwald–Letnikov definition of the fractional derivative, and the stress increment and strain increment relationship and Jacobian matrix are obtained by using the difference method. Subsequently, we degrade the model to establish stress increment and strain increment relationships and Jacobian matrices for the fractional derivative Kelvin model (FK) and fractional derivative Maxwell model (FM). Finally, we further degrade the fractional derivative viscoelastic model to derive stress increment and strain increment relationships and Jacobian matrices for a three-component solid model and Kelvin and Maxwell models. Based on these developments, a UMAT subroutine is implemented in ABAQUS 6.14 finite element software. Three different loading modes, including static load, dynamic load, and mobile load, are analyzed and calculated. The pioneering work in finance by Black, Scholes and Merton during the 1970s led to the emergence of the Black-Scholes (B-S) equation, which offers a concise and transparent formula for determining the theoretical price of an option. The establishment of the B-S equation, however, relies on a set of rigorous assumptions that give rise to several limitations. The non-local property of the fractional derivative (FD) and the identification of fractal characteristics in financial markets have paved the way for the introduction and rapid development of fractional calculus in finance. In comparison to the classical B-S equation, the fractional B-S equations (FBSEs) offer a more flexible representation of market behavior by incorporating long-range dependence, heavy-tailed and leptokurtic distributions, as well as multifractality. This enables better modeling of extreme events and complex market phenomena, The fractional B-S equations can more accurately depict the price fluctuations in actual financial markets, thereby providing a more reliable basis for derivative pricing and risk management. In this paper, a discrete-time fractional flocking control algorithm of multi-agent systems is put forward to address the slow convergence issue of multi-agent systems. Firstly, by introducing Grünwald-Letnikov (G-L) fractional derivatives, the algorithm allows agents to utilize historical information when updating their states. Secondly, based on the Lyapunov stability theory, the convergence of the algorithm is proven. Finally, simulations are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. Comparisons are made between the proposed algorithm and other methods. The results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the convergence speed of multi-agent systems. This paper focuses on the usage of the homotopy analysis method (HAM) to solve the fractional heat conduction equation. In the presented mathematical model, Caputo-type fractional derivatives over time or space are considered. In the HAM, it is not necessary to discretize the considered domain, which is its great advantage. As a result of the method, a continuous function is obtained, which can be used for further analysis. For the first time, for the considered equations, we proved that if the series created in the method converges, then the sum of the series is a solution of the equation. A sufficient condition for this convergence is provided, as well as an estimation of the error of the approximate solution. Finding all the roots of a nonlinear equation is an important and difficult task that arises naturally in numerous scientific and engineering applications. Sequential iterative algorithms frequently use a deflating strategy to compute all the roots of the nonlinear equation, as rounding errors have the potential to produce inaccurate results. On the other hand, simultaneous iterative parallel techniques require an accurate initial estimation of the roots to converge effectively. In this paper, we propose a new class of global neural network-based root-finding algorithms for locating real and complex polynomial roots, which exploits the ability of machine learning techniques to learn from data and make accurate predictions. The approximations computed by the neural network are used to initialize two efficient fractional Caputo-inverse simultaneous algorithms of convergence orders ς + 2 and 2 ς + 4 , respectively. The results of our numerical experiments on selected engineering applications show that the new inverse parallel fractional schemes have the potential to outperform other state-of-the-art nonlinear root-finding methods in terms of both accuracy and elapsed solution time. In this paper, we consider an approximation of the Caputo fractional derivative and its asymptotic expansion formula, whose generating function is the polylogarithm function. We prove the convergence of the approximation and derive an estimate for the error and order. The approximation is applied for the construction of finite difference schemes for the two-term ordinary fractional differential equation and the time fractional Black–Scholes equation for option pricing. The properties of the approximation are used to prove the convergence and order of the finite difference schemes and to obtain bounds for the error of the numerical methods. A control scheme for finite-time stabilization of unstable orbits of the fractional difference logistic map is proposed in this paper. The presented technique is based on isolated perturbation impulses used to correct the evolution of the map's trajectory after it deviates too far from the neighborhood of the unstable orbit, and does not require any feedback control loops. The magnitude of the control impulses is determined by means of H-rank algorithm, which helps to reveal the pseudo-manifold of non-asymptotic convergence of the fractional difference logistic map. Numerical experiments are used to illustrate the effectiveness and the feasibility of the proposed approach, which is applicable beyond the studied fractional difference logistic map. In this paper, we studied the Hölder regularities of solutions to an abstract fractional differential equation, which is regarded as an abstract version of fractional Rayleigh–Stokes problems, rising up to describing a non-Newtonian fluid with a Riemann–Liouville fractional derivative. The purpose of this article was to establish the Hölder regularities of mild solutions, classical solutions, and strict solutions. We introduced an interpolation space in terms of an analytic resolvent to lower the spatial regularity of initial value data. By virtue of the properties of analytic resolvent and the interpolation space, the Hölder regularities were obtained. The present study investigates the stability analysis and chaos control of a fractional-order three-population food chain model. Previous research has indicated that the predation relationship within a long-established predator–prey system can be influenced by factors such as the prey's fear of the predator and its carry-over effects. This study examines the state evolution of fractional-order systems and compares their dynamic behavior with integer-order systems. By utilizing the Routh–Hurwitz condition and the stability theory of fractional differential equations, this paper establishes the local stability conditions of the model through the application of the Jacobi matrix and eigenvalue method. Furthermore, the conditions for the Hopf bifurcation generation are determined. Subsequently, chaos control techniques based on the Lyapunov stability theory are employed to stabilize the unstable trajectory at the equilibrium point. The theoretical findings are validated through numerical simulations. Machine learning is a branch of artificial intelligence that dates back more than 50 years. It is currently experiencing a boom in research and technological development. With the rise of machine learning, the need to propose improved optimizers has become more acute, leading to the search for new gradient-based optimizers. In this paper, the ancient concept of fractional derivatives has been applied to some optimizers available in PyTorch. A comparative study is presented to show how the fractional versions of gradient optimizers could improve their performance on generative adversarial networks (GAN) and natural language applications with Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT). The results are encouraging for both state-of-the art algorithms, GAN and BERT, and open up the possibility of exploring further applications of fractional calculus in machine learning. The paper considers the solvability of some inverse problems for fractional differential equations with a nonlocal biharmonic operator, which is introduced with the help of involutive transformations in two space variables. This paper investigates a two-dimensional Riemann–Liouville distributed-order space fractional diffusion equation (RLDO-SFDE). However, many challenges exist in deriving analytical solutions for fractional dynamic systems. Efficient and reliable methods need to be explored for solving the RLDO-SFDE numerically. We develop an alternating direction implicit scheme and prove that the numerical method is unconditionally stable and convergent with an accuracy of O (σ 2 + ρ 2 + τ + h x + h y) . After employing an extrapolated technique, the convergence order is improved to second order in time and space. Furthermore, a fast algorithm is constructed to reduce computational costs. Two numerical examples are presented to verify the effectiveness of the numerical methods. This study may provide more possibilities for simulating diffusion complexities by fractional calculus. Chemical graph theory (CGT) is a field of mathematical science that applies classical graph theory to chemical structures and processes. Chemical graphs are the principal data format used in cheminformatics to illustrate chemical interactions. Several researchers have addressed boundary-value problems using star graphs. Star graphs were used since their method requires a central point linked to other vertices but not to itself. Our objective is to expand the mechanism by introducing the idea of an isobutane graph that has the chemical formula C 4 H 10 and CAS number 75-28-5. By using the appropriate fixed point theory findings, this paper investigates the existence of solutions to fractional boundary value problems of Caputo type on such graphs. This paper generalizes the integer-order model of the tumour growth into the fractional-order domain, where the long memory dependence of the fractional derivative can be a better fit for the cellular response. This model describes the dynamics of cancer stem cells and non-stem (ordinary) cancer cells using a coupled system of nonlinear integro-differential equations. Our analysis focuses on the existence and boundedness of the solution in correlation with the properties of Mittag-Leffler functions and the fixed point theory elucidating the proof. Some numerical examples with different fractional orders are shown using the finite difference scheme, which is easily implemented and reliably accurate. In this paper, the mixed convective heat transfer mechanism of nanofluids is investigated. Based on the Buongiorno model, we develop a novel Cattaneo–Buongiorno model that reflects the non-local properties as well as Brownian motion and thermophoresis diffusion. Due to the highly non-linear character of the equations, the finite difference method is employed to numerically solve the governing equations. The effectiveness of the numerical method and the convergence order are presented. The results show that the rise in the fractional parameter δ enhances the energy transfer process of nanofluids, while the fractional parameter γ has the opposite effect. In addition, the effects of Brownian motion and thermophoresis diffusion parameters are also discussed. The modified second-grade fluid flow across a plate of semi-infinite extent, which is initiated by the plate's movement, is considered herein. The relaxation parameters and fractional parameters are introduced to express the generalized constitutive relation. A convolution-based absorbing boundary condition (ABC) is developed based on the artificial boundary method (ABM), addressing issues related to the semi-infinite boundary. We adopt the finite difference method (FDM) for deriving the numerical solution by employing the L1 scheme to approximate the fractional derivative. This work presents a quantitative analysis of the transmission dynamics of dengue using the Caputo–Fabrizio fractional-order derivative. It presents an extensive framework for modeling a dengue epidemic, including the various stages of infection and encompassing a wide range of transmission pathways. The proposed model is subjected to a rigorous qualitative study, including the determination of a non-negative solution, the assessment of the basic reproduction number, and an evaluation of local stability. Numerical solutions are obtained using the Newton method. Although stochastic fractional partial differential equations have received increasing attention in the last decade, the parameter estimation of these equations has been seldom reported in literature. In this paper, we propose a pseudo-likelihood approach to estimating the parameters of stochastic time-fractional diffusion equations, whose forward solver has been investigated very recently by Gunzburger, Li, and Wang (2019). Our approach can accurately recover the fractional order, diffusion coefficient, as well as noise magnitude given the discrete observation data corresponding to only one realization of driving noise. The influence of the fast-varying variables that have a long-term memory on the El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) is investigated by adding a fractional Ornstein–Uhlenbeck (FOU) process stochastic noise on the simple recharge oscillator (RO) model. The FOU process noise converges to zero very slowly with a negative power law. The corresponding non-zero ensemble mean during the integration period can exert a pronounced influence on the ensemble-mean dynamics of the RO model. The state-dependent noise, also called the multiplicative noise, can present its influence by reducing the relaxation coefficient and by introducing periodic external forcing. The decreasing relaxation coefficient can enhance the oscillation amplitude and shorten the oscillation period. The forced frequency is close to the natural frequency. The two mechanisms together can further amplify the amplitude and shorten the period, compared with the state-independent noise or additive noise, which only exhibits its influence by introducing non-periodic external forcing. These two mechanisms explicitly elucidate the influence of the stochastic forcing on the ensemble-mean dynamics of the RO model. It provides comprehensive knowledge to better understand the interaction between the fast-varying stochastic forcing and the slow-varying deterministic system and deserves further investigation. In the particular configuration of the scalar field k-essence in the Wheeler–DeWitt quantum equation, for some age in the Bianchi type I anisotropic cosmological model, a fractional differential equation for the scalar field arises naturally. The order of the fractional differential equation is β = 2 α 2 α − 1 . This fractional equation belongs to different intervals depending on the value of the barotropic parameter; when ω X ∈ [ 0 , 1 ] , the order belongs to the interval 1 ≤ β ≤ 2 , and when ω X ∈ [ − 1 , 0) , the order belongs to the interval 0 < β ≤ 1 . In the quantum scheme, we introduce the factor ordering problem in the variables (Ω , ϕ) and its corresponding momenta (Π Ω , Π ϕ) , obtaining a linear fractional differential equation with variable coefficients in the scalar field equation, then the solution is found using a fractional power series expansion. The corresponding quantum solutions are also given. We found the classical solution in the usual gauge N obtained in the Hamiltonian formalism and without a gauge. In this paper, two new classes of q-starlike functions in an open unit disc are defined and studied by using the q-fractional derivative. The class S q * ˜ (α) , α ∈ (− 3 , 1 ] , q ∈ (0 , 1) generalizes the class S q * of q-starlike functions and the class T q * ˜ (α) , α ∈ [ − 1 , 1 ] , q ∈ (0 , 1) comprises the q-starlike univalent functions with negative coefficients. Some basic properties and the behavior of the functions in these classes are examined. The order of starlikeness in the class of convex function is investigated. It provides some interesting connections of newly defined classes with known classes. The mapping property of these classes under the family of q-Bernardi integral operator and its radius of univalence are studied. Additionally, certain coefficient inequalities, the radius of q-convexity, growth and distortion theorem, the covering theorem and some applications of fractional q-calculus for these new classes are investigated, and some interesting special cases are also included. In this paper, a new approach to find exact solutions is carried out for a generalized unsteady magnetohydrodynamic transport of a rate-type fluid near an unbounded upright plate, which is analyzed for ramped-wall temperature and velocity with constant concentration. The vertical plate is suspended in a porous medium and encounters the effects of radiation. An innovative definition of the time-fractional operator in power-law-kernel form is implemented to hypothesize the constitutive mass, energy, and momentum equations. The Laplace integral transformation technique is applied on a dimensionless form of governing partial differential equations by introducing some non-dimensional suitable parameters to establish the exact expressions in terms of special functions for ramped velocity, temperature, and constant-concentration fields. In order to validate the problem, the absence of the mass Grashof parameter led to the investigated solutions obtaining good agreement in existing literature. Additionally, several system parameters were used, such as as magnetic value M, Prandtl value P r , Maxwell parameter λ , dimensionless time τ , Schmidt number " S c ", fractional parameter α , andMass and Thermal Grashof numbers G m and G r , respectively, to examine their impacts on velocity, wall temperature, and constant concentration. Results are also discussed in detail and demonstrated graphically via Mathcad-15 software. In this paper, electrochemical impedance responses of subdiffusive phase transition materials are calculated and analyzed for one-dimensional cell with reflecting and absorbing boundary conditions. The description is based on the generalization of the diffusive Warburg impedance within the fractional phase field approach utilizing the time-fractional Cahn–Hilliard equation. The driving force in the model is the chemical potential of ions, that is described in terms of the phase field allowing us to avoid additional calculation of the activity coefficient. The aim of this study is to utilize a differential quadrature method with various kernels, such as Lagrange interpolation and discrete singular convolution, to tackle problems related to the Riesz fractional diffusion equation and the Riesz fractional advection–dispersion equation. The governing equation for convection and diffusion depends on both spatial and transient factors. By using the block marching technique, we transform these equations into an algebraic system using differential quadrature methods and the Caputo-type fractional operator. Next, we develop a MATLAB program that generates code capable of solving the fractional convection–diffusion equation in (1+2) dimensions for each shape function. Our goal is to ensure that our methods are reliable, accurate, efficient, and capable of convergence. To achieve this, we conduct two experiments, comparing the numerical and graphical results with both analytical and numerical solutions. Additionally, we evaluate the accuracy of our findings using the L∞ error. Our tests show that the differential quadrature method, which relies mainly on the discrete singular convolution shape function, is a highly effective numerical approach for fractional convective diffusion problems. It offers superior accuracy, faster convergence, and greater reliability than other techniques. An eco-epidemiological model involving competition regarding the predator and quarantine on infected prey is studied. The prey is divided into three compartments, namely susceptible, infected, and quarantine prey, while the predator only attacks the infected prey due to its weak condition caused by disease. To include the memory effect, the Caputo fractional derivative is employed. The model is validated by showing the existence, uniqueness, non-negativity, and boundedness of the solution. Three equilibrium points are obtained, namely predator-disease-free, predator-free-endemic, and predator-endemic points, which, respectively, represent the extinction of both predator and disease, the extinction of predator only, and the existence of all compartments. The local and global stability properties are investigated using the Matignon condition and the Lyapunov direct method. The numerical simulations using a predictor–corrector scheme are provided not only to confirm the analytical findings but also to explore more the dynamical behaviors, such as the impact of intraspecific competition, memory effect, and the occurrence of bifurcations. A nonlocal boundary value problem for the fractional version of the Rayleigh–Stokes equation, well-known in fluid dynamics, is studied. Namely, the condition u (x , T) = β u (x , 0) + φ (x) , where β is an arbitrary real number, is proposed instead of the initial condition. If β = 0 , then we have the inverse problem in time, called the backward problem. It is well-known that the backward problem is ill-posed in the sense of Hadamard. If β = 1 , then the corresponding non-local problem becomes well-posed in the sense of Hadamard, and moreover, in this case a coercive estimate for the solution can be established. The aim of this work is to find values of the parameter β , which separates two types of behavior of the semi-backward problem under consideration. We prove the following statements: if β ≥ 1 , or β < 0 , then the problem is well-posed; if β ∈ (0 , 1) , then depending on the eigenvalues of the elliptic part of the equation, for the existence of a solution an additional condition on orthogonality of the right-hand side of the equation and the boundary function to some eigenfunctions of the corresponding elliptic operator may emerge. This work aims to address the P-bifurcation of a stochastic nonlinear system with fractional damping driven by Gaussian white noise. Based on a stochastic averaging method, a fractional damping stochastic nonlinear equation has been studied. Furthermore, the expressions of drift and diffusion coefficients of the Fokker–Planck equation (FPKE) have been obtained. The probability density function (PDF), the steady solution of FPKE, has also been derived. Then, PDFs of two fractional damping Morse oscillators have been obtained. One can note that the analytical results coincide with the results of numerical simulation. Recent studies have demonstrated the benefits of using fractional derivatives to simulate a blood pressure profile. In this work we propose to combine a one-dimensional model of coronary blood flow with fractional-order Windkessel boundary conditions. In order to investigate the honeybee population dynamics, many differential equation models were proposed. Fractional derivatives incorporate the history of the honeybee population dynamics. We numerically study the inverse problem of parameter identification in models with Caputo and Caputo–Fabrizio differential operators. We use a gradient method of minimizing a quadratic cost functional. We analyze and compare results for the integer (classic) and fractional models. One of the promising approaches to the description of many physical processes is the use of the fractional derivative mathematical apparatus. Fractional dimensions very often arise when modeling various processes in fractal (multi-scale and self-similar) environments. In a fractal medium, in contrast to an ordinary continuous medium, a randomly wandering particle moves away from the reference point more slowly since not all directions of motion become available to it. The slowdown of the diffusion process in fractal media is so significant that physical quantities begin to change more slowly than in ordinary media.This effect can only be taken into account with the help of integral and differential equations containing a fractional derivative with respect to time. Here, the problem of heat and mass transfer in media with a fractal structure was posed and analytically solved when a heat flux was specified on one of the boundaries. The second initial boundary value problem for the heat equation with a fractional Caputo derivative with respect to time and the Riesz derivative with respect to the spatial variable was studied. A theorem on the semigroup property of the fractional Riesz derivative was proved. To find a solution, the problem was reduced to a boundary value problem with boundary conditions of the first kind. The solution to the problem was found by applying the Fourier transform in the spatial variable and the Laplace transform in time. The Caputo fractional α -derivative, 0 < α < 1 , for non-smooth functions with 1 + α regularity is calculated by numerical computation. Let I be an interval and D α (I) be the set of all functions f (x) which satisfy f (x) = f (c) + f ′ (c) (x − a) + g c (x) (x − c) | (x − c) | α , where x , c ∈ I and g c (x) is a continuous function for each c. We first extend the trapezoidal method on the set D α (I) and rewrite the integrand of the Caputo fractional integral as a product of two differentiable functions. In this approach, the non-smooth function and the singular kernel could have the same impact. The trapezoidal method using the Riemann–Stieltjes integral (TRSI) depends on the regularity of the two functions in the integrand. Numerical simulations demonstrated that the order of accuracy cannot be increased as the number of zones increases using the uniform discretization. However, for a fixed coarsest grid discretization, a refinable mesh approach was employed; the corresponding results show that the order of accuracy is k α , where k is a refinable scale. Meanwhile, the application of the product of two differentiable functions can also be applied to some Riemann–Liouville fractional differential equations. Nonlinear fractional partial differential equations (NLFPDEs) are widely used in simulating a variety of phenomena arisen in several disciplines such as applied mathematics, engineering, physics, and a wide range of other applications. Solitary wave solutions of NLFPDEs have become a significant tool in understanding the long-term dynamics of these events. This article primarily focuses on using the improved modified extended tanh-function algorithm to determine certain traveling wave solutions to the space-time fractional symmetric regularized long wave (SRLW) equation, which is used to discuss space-charge waves, shallow water waves, etc. The Jumarie's modified Riemann-Liouville derivative is successfully used to deal with the fractional derivatives, which appear in the SRLW problem. We find many traveling wave solutions on the form of trigonometric, hyperbolic, complex, and rational functions. Furthermore, the performance of the employed technique is investigated in comparison to other techniques such as the Oncoming e x p (− Θ (q)) -expansion method and the extended Jacobi elliptic function expansion strategy. Some obtained results are graphically displayed to show their physical features. The model of multiple trapping into energy-distributed states is a successful tool to describe the transport of nonequilibrium charge carriers in amorphous semiconductors. Under certain conditions, the model leads to anomalous diffusion equations that contain time fractional derivatives. From this perspective, the multiple-trapping model can be used to interpret fractional transport equations, formulate initial and boundary conditions for them, and to construct numerical methods for solving fractional kinetic equations. Here, we shortly review the application of fractional multiple-trapping equations to problems of transient photoconductivity relaxation and transit–time dispersion in the time-of-flight experiment and discuss the connection of the multiple-trapping model with generalized fractional kinetic equations. Different types of charge leakage are discussed. The tempered fractional relaxation is obtained for recombination via localized states and distributed order equations arise for the non-exponential density of states presented as a weighted mixture of exponential functions. A generalization of probability theory is proposed by using the Riemann–Liouville fractional integrals and the Caputo and Riemann–Liouville fractional derivatives of arbitrary (non-integer and integer) orders. The definition of the fractional probability density function (fractional PDF) is proposed. The basic properties of the fractional PDF are proven. The definition of the fractional cumulative distribution function (fractional CDF) is also suggested, and the basic properties of these functions are also proven. It is proven that the proposed fractional cumulative distribution functions generate unique probability spaces that are interpreted as spaces of a fractional probability theory of arbitrary order. This motive of current research is to provide a stochastic platform based on the artificial neural networks (ANNs) along with the Bayesian regularization approach for the fractional food chain supply system (FFSCS) with Allee effects. The dynamical FFSCS is divided into special predator category P (η) , top-predator class Q (η) , and prey population dynamics R (η) . The computing numerical performances for three different variations of the dynamical FFSCS are provided by using the ANNs along with the Bayesian regularization approach. The data selection for the dynamical FFSCS is selected for train as 78% and 11% for both test and endorsement. This article examines a natural convection viscous unsteady fluid flowing on an oscillating infinite inclined plate. The Newtonian heating effect, slip effect on the boundary wall, and constant mass diffusion conditions are also considered. In order to account for extended memory effects, the semi-analytical solution of transformed governed partial differential equations is attained with the help of a recent and more efficient fractional definition known as Prabhakar, like a thermal fractional derivative with Mittag-Leffler function. Fourier and Fick's laws are also considered in the thermal profile and concentration field solution. The essentials' preliminaries, fractional model, and execution approach are expansively addressed. The physical impacts of different parameters on all governed equations are plotted and compared graphically. Additionally, the heat transfer rate, mass diffusion rate, and skin friction are examined with different numerical techniques. Consequently, it is noted that the variation in fractional parameters results in decaying behavior for both thermal and momentum profiles while increasing with the passage of time. Image dehazing is a traditional task, yet it still presents arduous problems, especially in the removal of haze from the texture and edge information of an image. The state-of-the-art dehazing methods may result in the loss of some visual informative details and a decrease in visual quality. To improve dehazing quality, a novel dehazing model is proposed, based on a fractional derivative and data-driven regularization terms. In this model, the contrast constrained adaptive histogram equalization method is used as the data fidelity item; the fractional derivative is applied to avoid over-enhancement and noise amplification; and the proposed data-driven regularization terms are adopted to extract the local and non-local features of an image. Then, to solve the proposed model, half-quadratic splitting is used. Moreover, a dual-stream network based on Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Transformer is introduced to structure the data-driven regularization. Further, to estimate the atmospheric light, an atmospheric light model based on the fractional derivative and the atmospheric veil is proposed. Extensive experiments display the effectiveness of the proposed method, which surpasses the state-of-the-art methods for most synthetic and real-world images, quantitatively and qualitatively. We considered forced harmonic vibration systems with the Liouville-Weyl fractional derivative where the order is between 1 and 2 and with a distributed-order derivative where the Liouville-Weyl fractional derivatives are integrated on the interval [1, 2] with respect to the order. Both types of derivatives enhance the viscosity and inertia of the system and contribute to damping and mass, respectively. Hence, such types of derivatives characterize the viscoinertia and represent an "inerter-pot" element. For such vibration systems, we derived the equivalent damping and equivalent mass and gave the equivalent integer-order vibration systems. Particularly, for the distributed-order vibration model where the weight function was taken as an exponential function that involved a parameter, we gave detailed analyses for the weight function, the damping contribution, and the mass contribution. Frequency-amplitude curves and frequency-phase curves were plotted for various coefficients and parameters for the comparison of the two types of vibration models. In the distributed-order vibration system, the weight function of the order enables us to simultaneously involve different orders, whilst the fractional-order model has a single order. In thismanuscript, the time-fractional diffusion equation in the framework of the Yang-Abdel-Cattani derivative operator is taken into account. A detailed proof for the existence, as well as the uniqueness of the solution of the time-fractional diffusion equation, in the sense of YAC derivative operator, is explained, and, using the method of a-HATM, we find the analytical solution of the timefractional diffusion equation. Three cases are considered to exhibit the convergence and fidelity of the aforementioned a-HATM. The analytical solutions obtained for the diffusion equation using the Yang-Abdel-Cattani derivative operator are compared with the analytical solutions obtained using the Riemann-Liouville (RL) derivative operator for the fractional order g = 0.99 (nearby 1) and with the exact solution at different values of t to verify the efficiency of the YAC derivative operator.
