Profiles Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) member Chris Reynolds. Chris is the Curator at Bedgebury Pinetum in Kent, England. He has been interested in natural history since he was a child. Chris is keen that the collection at Bedgebury develops into one that contains all species of temperate conifers, but also to push the boundaries and see which other species will grow in Great Britain. He would like to see the pinetum and its staff play a role in protecting some of the world's most endangered species, such as Abies nebrodenis (Sicilian fir), of which there are only about 40 trees left in the wild. Bedgebury National Pinetum can be visited free of charge by holders of RHS Individual Membership cards throughout the year.
