An essay is presented on logistical issues for Americans legally traveling to Cuba to conduct geographical fieldwork. It provides an overview of U.S.-Cuba relations and discusses the regulations of the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), part of the Department of the Treasury. The authors describe arrival in Cuba and returning to the U.S. Recommendations include using an authorized Travel Service Provider (TSP) and flying out of Miami, Florida through ABC Charters, Inc.
