Abstract

The article investigate the prescription trends of Ninjin'yoeito (NYT), a traditional Japanese medicine, for older adults in Japan. It aims to analyze the growth rates of NYT prescriptions compared to other Kampo medicines (traditional herbal medicines). It further highlights that NYT has shown potential usefulness in treating muscle weakness, frailty, neuropsychiatric symptoms, and cognitive function in frail patients with Alzheimer's disease.
