The study of phenological behavior contributes to the understanding of natural regeneration and reproduction of plants. This study aimed to diagnose the particular and accessory species, along with the dispersion syndromes of the seeds of the species of a cerrado sensu stricto area, Gurupi - TO. They were installed five plots of 20 ~ 50 m, ie, 1000 m2 each, and the same were spaced 20 m apart, totaling a sample area of 0.5 ha was sampled every shrubarboreal individuals with circumference 1.30 m above the ground (CAP). 10 cm. The dispersion syndromes of the species in the area were determined from the literature. 97 were identified shrub-arboreal species, where there was a predominance of zoochorous species (65%), anemochoric (33%) and autochorous (2%) also based on floristic criteria it can be stated that 41.23% are peculiar and 58.77% are ancillary, indicating that the cerrado woodland behaves like a mosaic of unique and accessory species. The objective of this study was to identify and to classify species in the shrub-tree layer of three areas of stricto sensu cerrado, about their potential uses and ways of dispersion. This study was conducted in the city of Gurupi - TO, at the UFT Experimental Farm, Campus of Gurupi, UTM coordinates 11"46'25 S and 49"02'54 W and in the city of Aliança do Tocantins - TO on property Fazenda Nossa Lady Aparecida under its UTM coordinates 11"46'25 S and 49"02'54 W. The dispersion syndromes were defined according to the criteria proposed by Van Der Pijl, and classification of species on the potential uses was based on specific literature. Of the total of species found in A1, 63.33% show zoochoric dispersion syndromes, 33.76% anemochorics, and 3.91% autochorics. In A2 62.35% are zoochoric species, 30.58% anemochoric and 7.07% autochoric. In the A3 62.68% show zoochoric dispersion syndrome, 35.82% anemochoric, and 1.50% autochoric. Thus the zoochoric dispersion syndrome seems to be contributing to the maintenance of ecological balance of the three assessed areas, favoring the a more successful germination and subsequent recruitment of these species.
