Abstract

Research reveals that breast cancer patients may derive some psychological benefits from medical information related to breast health issues obtained via internet. Data show 48% of the 188 women inteviewed use the internet for an average of 0.80 hour per week. Furthermore, internet use is associated with greater social support and less loneliness.
