- Abstract
The article highlights the theoretical approaches to the specific Protestant influence on work and business. The main focus of the article is given to the concept of economic and business activity as a form of Protestant Christianity, namely the presentation of general approaches to the business principles of Protestantism through the analysis of the major doctrinal documents and comments on them, significantly influenced the formation of these philosophical concepts. Protestant model of entrepreneurship is considered as the successor in the Puritan worldview. Conclusions of the study are that the austere Puritan ethic stands at the cradle of the modern entrepreneur. Reformation era bequeathed to its utilitarian successor especially clear conscience in the process of earning money (which is not present in the Middle Ages), if only it is done in the legal form. There is a specific professional ethics of entrepreneur. Power of religious asceticism for entrepreneurs were trained sober, conscientious, extremely workable, tied to work and knowledgeable of their purpose of life people. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
