Abstract

The article presents a study which identifies the novel null HLA-B allele, B*15:375N. Cited methods of the study include confirmatory molecular typing, sequence-based typing of the HLA-B gene by genomic full-length amplification and sequencing analysis of coding regions, cloning of HLA-B amplification product using TOPO TA cloning reagents. Results confirm the presence of a B*15:01:01:01 variant allele due to a deletion of seven base pairs within exon 3.
