The article offers tips on the proper design of an office hand stamp. The stamp's design must take into account the pressure applied from the handle to the spring. It must use a cam acting on a small wheel so that when the spring is compressed to the desired extent, the hump of the cam slides over the wheel into a neutral position with a sudden easing of the pressure. It is accounted that the stamp's design could be cheaply constructed and eliminates the occurrence of illegible impressions.
