The article reports on the writing of international computing history. There is no second thought to the fact that the United States is ruling the computer industry and technological developments. There is a need for an international computing history. A few assumptions have been made like large-scale information processing requires mechanization and it is only big corporations who need large-scale information processing. Three different approaches have been discussed to write international computing history. First approach is to write local histories of computing in other nations apart from the U.S. A few historians have already written history of computing of their specific countries. But these kind of writings are partial toward achievement of one's country. Second approach refers to the comparative studies of two or more countries. This will give a picture of similarities and dissimilarity between the nations. Third approach is based on international relations between countries. There are various advantages of writing an international history of computing, including knowledge about new perspectives and methodologies used in the field of computing.
