The article reports on James Clerk Maxwell and his color theory during his journey in Italy which led to the invention of color photograph. Maxwell formed his color theory through studying the works of Boyle, Newton, and Berkley. He started developing the theory through considering that the science of colors is a science of the mind. He associated it to optics and physiology. He demonstrated that color sensation can be produced by mixing different regions of the light spectrum. Maxwell also believed that his color theory is linked with mental processes.

A biography of Riccardo Felici, the professor of Physics at the University of Pisa, Italy, is presented. He was born on June 11, 1819, in Parma, Italy and studied at the University of Pisa. He was then nominated as an assistant of Carlo Matteucci, a pioneer in electrochemistry and electrophysiology. He was married with Elisa Frilling in 1854 and had a daughter. His main contribution was on electrodynamics induction and devised his own differential techniques for measuring the rapid currents

The article presents proofs to support that Guglielmo Marconi stayed in Italy in the summer of 1895. First, the translated letter of Marconi which used the Senate of the Kingdom of Italy's official paper noted that he was in Oropa mountains describing his discoveries. Second, Marconi acknowledged professor Vincenzo Rosa for his private lessons in physics from the fall of 1891 to October 1892 in Livorno when the Swedish Science Academy awarded him the Nobel Prize.

Asolemn centenary celebration of Alessandro Volta's university chair was held at the University of Pavia in April 1878. To celebrate this important event, Pavia organized a sumptuous ceremony, with vast echoes both in Italy and abroad.
