Abstract: A procedure for fabricating Nb oxide thin-film resistors where the resistivity is controlled by varying the oxygen content of the sputtered films has been developed. The films are reactively rf diode sputtered in an oxygen partial pressure in the range of 10 to the negative third power. The films become more resistive and less metallic when the target voltage decreases or the oxygen partial pressure increases. The films have the same room and liquid He temperature resistivities.
