Abstract

The article offers information on the recipients of the 2007 IEEE Information Theory Society Paper Award. Hanan Weingarten has masteral and doctorate degrees in electrical engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. Yossef Steinberg was a Lady Davis Fellow in the Department of Electrical Engineering and held visiting appointments in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Princeton University in New Jersey. Shlomo Shamai has research interests which encompasses a wide spectrum of topics in information theory and statistical communications.
