Abstract

A widened harmonic power flow algorithm is described capable of determining the interaction between the fundamental, harmonic, and interharmonic frequency components. The algorithm is multiphase and can include any number of nonlinearities. The New Zealand power system is used to illustrate the ability of the algorithm to determine the harmonic interaction between an HVdc link and an aluminum smelter. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
