A control systems engineering approach, employing a two-level overall system architecture and different but compatible formalisms for system representation on the upper and lower levels, has been investigated in detail. One design alternative is based on employing fuzzy-system approximators and solving for the adaptive tracking of the given, arbitrary, desired system outputs. The other alternative is based on state equations of composite systems and the use of neural-network approximators to deal with uncertainties and control adaptation. In both alternatives similarity property of subsystems has been exploited. Both designs can be implemented within the standard computer process control technology, and are therefore believed to be promising in applied systems engineering.

This paper discusses a class of large-scale systems containing multi-pertite symmetrically composite subsystem. It is shown that the solutions of some important problems for such large-scale systems can be conducted by using the solutions of corresponding problems for some lower order subsystems the problems includes the spectrum characterization, controllability, observability and the solutions of the algbraic Riccati equation. The design procedures of dacentralizad controller and decentralized observer are presented by the utilization of the available structural information.

In this paper, we mainly discuss the decomposition conditions for nonlinear systems. For a complex nonlinear system, if it can be decomposed into several simple parts, then we can studying this nonlinear systea by studying the decomposed system.

In this paper, we give the conditions of transfroming nonlinear system triangular system, we also discuss the problem of feedback equivalence for triangular system.

This paper presents a methodology for the design of reliable control systems by applying multiple similar controllers to a given plant. The resulting control systems are reliable in that they provide guaranteed stability and H∞performance not only when all controllers are operational, but also in case of some controller failures.

This paper discusses a class of uncertain composite systems composed of several similar subsystems interconnected with an external system in a circulant fashion. An effective quadratic stability criterion and a design procedure of the quadratic stabilization for such a system are given in terms of some modified subsystems with lower-order. Based on the Riccati-like equation approach, a decentralized control design procedure for the class of systems is presented. As an application, a sufficient condition for solvability of the simultaneous stabilization problem for a collection of linear systems is derived.

In this paper we recommend the idea of “partial capture region on fini te time interval” and present a metheod of solving the “role ambiguity” problem in aerial combat. We obtain the T-region and the T'-region for each of the players A and B. If B is located in the T-region of A, then it can be captured by A within T seconds, if B in T'-region of A, then A will be captured by B also within T seconds. We analyse the effects of altering speed and radius of curvature on these regions. Finally, we discuss these two regions for different θ(tl) which is the angle between the directions of velocities of A and B.
