Despite the widespread awareness campaigns going on worldwide for elimination of tuberculosis, knowledge on unsual forms of tuberculosis still remains low. We need to realize that tuberculosis can present in any form and thus, a greater degree of suspicion is important always especially in countries with high tuberculosis prevalence. Although skeletal tuberculosis is being increasingly diagnosed and treated, still tuberculosis of the ankle joint is uncommon and often misdiagnosed as septic arthritis and thus leads to unnecessary delay in treatment. Sometimes another focus of tuberculosis elsewhere in the body may be not found nor do the patients have any presumptive tuberculosis symptom. It is equally important to know that surgery alone might not help these patients. a combination of surgery and appropriate anti tubercular therapy is the right approach. So, a multidisciplinary role and co operation of the surgeon as well as the physician is essential especially in cases of skeletal tuberculosis. Context: School teachers by virtue of their training can influence a large number of children thereby play major role in the planning and implementation of oral health preventive programs. Aims: To assess the knowledge, attitude and awareness of school teachers towards oral health. Method and Material: This was a cross-sectional survey conducted among school teachers of the city of Meerut. A structured questionnaire was used and 215 teachers were assessed on their knowledge on oral health, attitude and practice regarding their personal oral health, attitude regarding oral health of children and status of oral health education at the schools. Results: Though 97% of the teachers considered oral health as important as general health, but only 58% knew about the importance of fluoride . Also only 66% of teachers admitted that their school was prepared for any dental emergency and 54% teachers were unaware about avulsion. Conclusions: The knowledge Regarding Oral Health amongst school teachers was fair. Oral health awareness modules should be incorporated in School curriculum . [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We conducted this study among 100 nurses who were working in the maternity ward of Hosahalli referral Hospital, and Sagar hospital in Bangalore, India, by using non-probability purposive sampling technique. The data was collected by using self-administered questionnaire. The study revealed that there is a significant relationship between knowledge level of respondents and their experience in the procedure of oxytocin induction as evidenced by P value 0.0422< alpha value 0.05. The test is Statistically Significant at 95% confidence level. Area wise analysis of knowledge score of staff nurses regarding oxytocin induction of labour has made the impression in five areas (1) the knowledge score of the samples about information of induction of labour were 70%. (2) General information about oxytocin induction (64.57%). (3) Information related to indications and contra indications of oxytocin induction (65%). (4) Information about induction of oxytocin (68.53%). (5) Nursing management during oxytocin induction (66.14%). The overall knowledge score of the participants (100 samples) is (65.50%), overall mean (28.82), median (23) SD (20.32) which revealed that only 31% of the participants have adequate knowledge on oxytocin induction during labour. A new protocol was developed for the maternity nurses on the oxytocin induction, based on the statistical findings of self-administered questionnaire for the two hospitals where the study was conducted.
