A new organic-inorganic hybrid compound constructed from [Mn 2 V 22 O 64 ] 10 − units, H 6 [(C 6 H 4 NO 2 Cu(H 2 O) 4 )] 2 [Mn 2 V 22 O 64 ]·28H 2 O 1 , has been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR, powder X-ray diffraction (XPRD) and TG. Compound 1 is composed of dimeric [Mn 2 V 22 O 64 ] 10 − polyoxoanions, metal-organo fragments [(C 6 H 4 NO 2 Cu(H 2 O) 4 )] 2 + and lattice water molecules. Moreover, a three-dimensional supramolecular structure is formed in 1 by the extensive hydrogen bond interaction among the terminal oxygen atoms of [Mn 2 V 22 O 64 ] 10 − anions, the coordinated waters of Cu 2 + ions and crystal water molecules. Two new homometallic coordination polymers 1 and 2 have been prepared by the directly one-step hydrothermal reactions of a carboxylate-functionalized salen ligand with Zn(II) and Co(II) ions, respectively. 1 exhibits a 3D open framework built by [Zn 4 (μ 4 -O)(carboxylate) 8 ] units and double Zn-salen ligands, while 2 shows a 1D chain structure constructed by cobalt ions and the ligand derived from the hydrolysis to one C N bond of salen ligand. Four novel Ln-bpdc coordination polymers [Ln(bpdc)(NO 3 )(DMA) 2 ] [Ln = La( 1 ), Pr( 2 ), Sm( 3 ), Eu( 4 )] [Ln = lanthanide, H 2 bpdc = 4,4-biphenyldicarboxylate acid and DMA = dimethylacetamide] have been solvothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectra and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. 1 – 4 crystallize in the monoclinic space group P 2 1 / c and show a 2-D layer constructed from 1-D Ln–organic chain and tetradentate bpdc 2 − ligand. The magnetic behavior of 2 – 4 has been investigated. The solid-state photoluminescent measurement illustrates that Eu( 4 ) displays the strong fluorescent emissions, which demonstrate that π -rich aromatic organic bpdc 2 − ligands can efficiently transfer energy to the Eu III ions. Abstract: Two new metal–organic frameworks based on cyclic-type dodecanuclear copper units, (Me4N)6[Cu12(OMe)6(pz)6(BTC)6]·18H2O 1 and (Me4N)6[Cu12(OH)6(pz)6(BTC)6]·21H2O 2 (pz=pyrazolate, BTC=1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate), have been prepared by the solvothermal reactions of copper salts, Hpz and H3BTC ligands. The cyclic-type Cu12 unit in 1 and 2 is constructed by twelve CuII ions linked together by μ2-OH or μ2-OMe and unidentate carboxylate groups at the inner- and μ-pz and bidentate carboxylate groups at the outer surface of the toroid. In 1 and 2, each Cu12 unit is connected to 12 other units by BTC linkers, leading to 12-connected three-dimensional porous frameworks. Abstract: A new metal–organic framework based on hexanuclear copper units, Cu6(μ3-O)(μ3-OH)(pz)6(btc) (pz=pyrazolate, btc=1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate) 1, has been prepared by the hydrothermal reaction of Cu2+ ions, Hpz and H3btc ligands in a methanolic solution. The hexanuclear copper building unit in 1 is composed of two triangular Cu3O(H)(pz)3 units bridged by carboxyl groups, in which each Cu center is coordinatively unsaturated with open coordination sites. Five novel Ln-1-tza (tetrazole-1-acetic) coordination polymers have been solvothermally synthesized. Complexes Nd(1), Sm(2), Eu(3), Tb(4), Dy(5) are isomorphous, which display a dinuclear structure constructed by nitrate-O-bridged and μ 1,3 carboxyl groups from 1-tza ligand. Variable-temperature magnetic studies reveal that complexes 1 – 5 exhibit antiferromagnetic interactions between lanthanide cations. Photoluminescence studies show that complexes Eu(3) and Tb(4) possess strong luminescence, and compound Nd(1) show characteristic emissions in the near-infrared region. • Five new dinuclear lanthanide complexes based on tetrazole-1-acetic were obtained. • The five complexes are antiferromagnetic interactions. • Eu(3) and Tb(4) possess strong luminescence in the visible region. • Nd(1) shows characteristic emissions in the near-infrared region. Abstract: In this article, a Cu(I)-halide complex [Cu(II)3Cu(I)4(NA)6Br4]n (complex 1) (NA=pyridine-3-carboxylate) has been synthesized under hydrothermal reaction conditions. Complex 1 is a two-dimensional layer structure composed by trinuclear Cu(II) unit and tetranuclear Cu(I) unit connected by NA ligands. A novel manganese phosphomolybdate, [H3N(CH2)4NH3](H3O)2{[Mn(phen)2]4[MnMov12O30(HPO4)6(H2PO4)2]}·4H2O 1, has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal data: triclinic, P1¯, a=14.172(7) A˚, b=16.547(2) A˚, c=16.679(3) A˚, α=62.881(12)°, β=73.83(3)°, γ=88.81(3)°. X-ray crystallography shows that the [Mn(phen)2] fragments are covalently bonded to the [Mn(Mo6P4)2] dimers leading to a one-dimensional chain with rectangular cavities occupied by tetramethylene-diamine cations and water molecules. A novel one-dimensional cadmium (II) coordination polymer [Cd(HL) 2 (μ-Cl) 2 ] n (1) (HL = 4-cyanopyrazole) was obtained using a slow evaporation skill at room temperature and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy (IR) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The data of the single X-ray diffraction displayed that 1 crystallized in the triclinic system, P -1 space group. In the solid state, two HL acted as terminal ligands, bound to Cd(II) center formed [Cd(HL) 2 ]2+ unit, which was then linked by two Cl− anions to generate a straight one-dimensional chain structure. Then, a two-dimensional layer structure was obtained by wide-ranging N-H⋯Cl intermolecular hydrogen bonds. Moreover, the solid state fluorescent property of the polymer was examined and compared with the ligand. Additionally, Hirshfeld surface analysis of the polymer 1 was further investigated for the intermolecular interactions. The result indicated that the main intermolecular contact was N⋯H/H⋯N interaction with the proportion of 24.8% in the 2D fingerprint plot. Significantly, the polymer 1 proved excellent electrochemiluminescence (ECL) property in PBS solution. Abstract Two three-dimensional metal-organic frameworks {CdNa 2 (H 2 O) 2 (DMF)[(ML) 2 Na(H 2 O) 2 ]}·6H 2 O (L = C 22 H 18 N 2 O 6 ; M = Ni 1 , Cu 2) based on carboxylate-functionalized salen ligands were successfully synthesized by one-step synthesis of reacting 1,2-cyclohexanediamine- N , N ′-bis-(3-carboxylsalicylide) (H 4 L) with metal acetate. Both of them were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, powder X-ray diffraction (XPRD), elemental analysis, TG analysis, IR and UV–visible spectroscopy. Two Keggin-type polyoxometalates [K6CoIIW12O40 (denoted as {CoIIW12}) and K5CoIIIW12O40 (denoted as {CoIIIW12})] were firstly employed as the redox couple in dye-sensitized solar cells. Photocurrent density-photovoltage curves, cyclic voltammetry curves, photocurrent action spectra and UV-vis spectra demonstrated that {CoIIW12} and {CoIIIW12} displayed weak absorption in the visible light region, potential matching with dye and TiO2 conducting band, and significant conversion efficiency. Abstract: Three novel Zn(II) complexes based on tetrazole-1-acetic ligand, Zn(1-tza)2(phen) (1), [Zn(1-tza)(2,2′-bipy)(H2O)]∙X (X=NO3 − 2, ClO4 − 3) (1-tza=tetrazole 1-acetic, phen=1,10-phenanthroline, 2,2′-bipy=2,2′-bipyridine), were synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Three different coordination modes of 1-tza ligand exist in the three obtained complexes. The 1-D chain of 1 is built by μ 2-1-tza bridges. Compounds 2 and 3 are isomorphous, and their structures show a 2-D (4,4)-connected net constructed from binuclear [Zn2(COO)2] unit and μ 3-1-tza linkers. Photoluminescence studies show that 1, 2 and 3 exhibit strong luminescence. The thermal analyses of the three complexes and the optical properties of 1 and 3 have also been investigated. Abstract: A high nuclear lanthanide-containing polyoxometalate aggregate {[(CH3)3N(CH2)2OH]2(NH4)12}[Ce4(Mo4)(H2O)16(Mo7O24)4]·8H2O has been successfully synthesized in choline chloride/urea eutectic mixture. This method in synthesizing this anti-HIV activity aggregate has the advantages of convenience, facility, saving time and absence of additional noxious organic reagents. It has been characterized by XPS, IR, UV–vis spectra, TG analyses, power X-ray diffraction and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The CV property of the compound has also been tested.
