Abstract: A novel coordination polymer [Zn3(btrc)2(L1)] n (1) (H3btrc=1, 2, 4-benzenetricarboxylic acid; L1=1, 3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane) has been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. Single crystal X-ray diffraction study reveals that polymer 1 presents an unusual example of (3, 6, 10)-connected net with (4·6·7) (52·66·77) (416·512·64·713) topology symbol, where btrc3−, Zn2(CO2)4, and Zn4(CO2)8 units act as three-, six-, and ten-connecting nodes, respectively. In addition, the IR spectra, luminescence properties and thermogravimetric analysis of this polymer are investigated in this study. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: Via solvothermal reaction of CoCl2 with H3BTC (1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid) in DMF–C2H5OH, a new metal–organic framework (MOF) was isolated. The single crystal X-ray diffraction suggests that the asymmetric unit contains six crystallography-independent Co(II) ions and four deprotonated BTC3− ligands, and the overall structure of it is a 3D microporous framework with three-dimensional intersecting channel. Abstract: One 3D noninterpenetrating metallic-organic framework (MOF), namely M1.5(TMA)(4,4′-bpy)0.5(μ-OH2) 1 (M=Zn1.35Co0.15, H3TMA=benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid, 4,4′-bpy=4,4′-dipyridyl), showing unprecedented (3,4)-connected (8.102)2(4.84.10)2(42.82.102) topology, has been synthesized hydrothermally via the self-assemble of hybrid metal ions with polydentate O-donor H3TMA ligand and coligand of rigid bidentate N-donor 4,4′-bpy. Abstract: A new metal-organic framework (MOF) [Co2(μ3-OH)(μ2-OH2)(oba)(Hoba)(pyz)]n(1), (oba=4,4’-oxybis(benzoate), pyz=pyrazine) has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric analysis, elemental analysis, and magnetic techniques. The framework defines an eight-connected CsCl net with 424·64 topology symbol. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first eight-connected CsCl-type net built on unique [Co2(μ3-OH)(μ2-OH2)(CO2)3]2 molecular building blocks (MBBs). [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Abstract: Three new three-dimensional Lanthanide coordination polymers, namely [Ln2(Ac)2(ip)2(H2O)4 ·H2O] n [Lnld>1), Sm(2), Nd(3)], where Ac=acetate, ip=isophthalate, have been synthesized in hydrothermal method and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compounds 1–3 are isostructural and crystallize in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/C. Thermogravimetry, infrared spectra, elemental analysis have also been used to characterize 1. From topological view, the compounds present the second lanthanide-based, non-interpenetrating, decorated rutile net with the (4×62)(42 ×610 ×83)2 topology notation. Notably, within them, (H2O)6 cluster formed by free and coordinated water molecules via H-bonds is observed; and based on the consideration of the average O⋯O distance and IR spectrums, it is similar to those of liquid water. Abstract: In the presence of NaOH, the self-assembly of M(CH3COO)2 and nitrilotriacetate generated two metal–organic polymers, MNa(NTA), (M=Pb(1), Sr(2), NTA3+ =the anion of nitrilotriacetate). The single crystal X-ray diffraction shows that polymers 1 and 2 are isostructural and display the chiral P213 space group with the Flack factor of −0.001(16) for 1 and 0.023(14) for 2. By topology analysis, the complicated architecture of 1 and 2 is simplified to be the 6-connected pcu-type net, which is built on the vertex-shared, bowl-like MNa3 SBUs (pcu =primitive centered cubic, SBU=secondary building unit). Abstract: Herein, one metallic–organic coordinated polymer, namely Cd2(bpp)3(μ2-Cl)2(μ-Cl)2 (1) (bpp=1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane) was synthesized hydrothermally by the reaction of bpp ligands with CdCl2, possessing the 3D 2-fold interpenetrating nets with the rare four-connected sra-type zeolite topology. Further, the luminescent and thermal stability characters are investigated, and the results reveal that they could to be potential, microporous and fluorescent materials. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Abstract: In this work, we obtained a rarely three-dimensional porous Cu(II) MOF, namely [Cu2(BTC)(OH)(Me2NH)⋅2H2O⋅DMF] n (Me2NH—dimethylamine, [BTC3−—1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate, DMF—N,N′-dimethylformamide], by solvo(hydro)thermal method. This polymer was characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, EA, and thermogravimetry analysis. The outstanding structural feature of it is the coordination of Me2NH—a hydrolysate from DMF, and the non-interpenetrating porous rutile net. Further, based on the investigation of literatures, we also discussed the architectonics involving common Cu4 secondary building unit (SBU) in detail. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
