In this paper, a transient current circuit is introduced. The circuit evidently reduces switching loss of buck converter main switch dramatically. This topology enables to operate high-frequency. The validity of the transient current circuit is verified through simulations and experiments.

This paper explains about fundamental working principles, governing equations, implementation problems, and experimental results of a new power factor correction (PFC) topology. In this proposed topology, bridgeless technique is applied to a critical-conduction-mode (CRM) interleaved boost PFC in order to gain fundamental understanding towards high efficiency, high performance, low-cost, simple control scheme, and low conducted electromagnetic interference (EMI) circuit. This paper presents the design and implementation of LLC resonant converter using planar magnetic component. In the LLC resonant converter, ZVS turn-on and ZCS turn-off of MOSFETs and diode rectifiers can be achieved over the entire operating range, respectively. Therefore, the switching loss is reduced and we can operate the converter at higher switching frequency. At that frequency, planar magnetic component is a viable option. In this proposed converter, the magnetic component is integrated into advanced power conversion technique to implement a low-profile power supply for PDP application systems. An efficiency of about 96.7% was obtained.
