A Chinese expert in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, Professor Yang Sanjia, is famous at treating apoplexy. According to him, apoplexy is most likely related to both internal wind and external wind, so while dispelling wind, promoting circulation and removing blood stasis in treating early stage apoplexy, it is also important to select acupuncture points with a focus on points on the head, neck and four limbs.
