She was diagnosed with cutaneous amyloidosis 12 years prior, with the preceding diagnosis of MGUS and IgG kappa 2 years prior to skin lesions. A 63-year-old woman with a history of cutaneous amyloidosis, Raynaud's phenomenon, and monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) presented for painful lower extremity plaques. Her previous skin biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of nodular amyloidosis, and a bone marrow biopsy showed minimal involvement by a kappa light chain expressing plasma cell proliferative disorder and was negative for amyloid.
