A novel Smith-Purcell tunable radiation source with relativistic electron beam of middle energy and a quasi-optical resonator composed of diffraction grating and three-mirror reflector is reported. Theoretical analyses and numerical simulation results indicate that coherent radiation with peak power of a few MW order can be achieved from this experimental model. The typical curve of PIC simulation and cool testing experiment is also given.

In this paper the generalized expressions of the Green's function for multicoductor strip lines are derived from a model of narrow charge source by means of the Fourier transformation. Because of using a charge source with finite width, these expressions, occuring as improper integrals of the second type, are convergent at all the points to be considered, which are, hence, most suitable for numerical calculation in the method of moments. In addition, these expressions may be extended to more complicated structures of strip lines without difficulty.

A quasi-optical method for measuring the complex permittivity and permeability of materials at millimeter and submillimeter wavelengths is proposed. In principle, this method is applicable not only to solid samples but also to liquid and composite samples. The theory and experiment are described in this paper.
