The article presents a development of innovative research in the field of high education and museum studies in context of Digital Humanities (DH) concept. Information and communication technologies implementation to educational activities of classical university and museums is analyzed as a factor for development of Russian Federation higher education system. Collaboration between university and museum is considered as a factor of efficient improvement for training professionals in Arts and Humanities and is examined for blended learning environment. It is shown, that education is a form of citizens' access to open electronic sources and is one of the components for national interests of the Russian Federation in information society. It is noted, that an important condition for an individual fostering in a professional sphere is implementation of a consistent and balanced state policy in information, educational, scientific fields. Learning environment, which corresponds to contemporary educational requirements, is important components of this complex. Digital humanities is an activity based on a symbiosis of the humanities sciences and information technologies. This is an international activity. There are many communities implementing projects in this area. For example: Russian Association for Digital Humanities (http://dhrussia.ru) and European Association for Digital Humanities (http://eadh.org/). Working on this project, the research teams from ITMO University, Russian State Institute of Performing Arts and Saint-Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation using the original charts, a 3D model of Alexandrinsky Theater stage has been designed, customized for reconstructing a 19th cent. stage event and using various archival data (photographs, ground plans, a number of literary sources etc.) Act 1 of The Seagull as performed on the stage of Alexandrinsky Theater has been reconstructed. The project offers a drastically different technological solution both for research purposes and practical use in stage direction and scenography, and thus it can have broad application in theatrical environment. The article is a study of interdisciplinary cooperation of IT and multimedia experts from the University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (UITMO), and the New Stage of Alexandrinsky Theater. The cooperation resulted in several theatre projects that involve multimedia and internet technologies, in designing the prototype of a system for multi-stream online broadcasting of shows, with the option of interactive involvement of the online audience and switching between the streams; several longterm goals on the use of internet and media technologies on stage have been set. The oldest drama theater of Russia, A. S. Pushkin Russian State Academic Theater (Alexandrinsky Theater) is the leader in new media and internet technologies amid the Russian theaters. Over the last years, the New Stage was founded at Alexandrinsky Theater by the young stage directors, to serve as an experimental space for implementing their innovative creative ideas. The New Stage is a high-tech performing-cum-educational facility. The challenges faced by the New Stage cast, as well as the hi-tech nature of most shows staged there, made it essential for the portal designers to ensure that the global Internet network could be used not only for presenting the results of creative endeavors, but also as an environment to support the creative efforts of the theater professionals, those who use media and internet technologies for their projects. To meet this goal, a new dynamically developed portal was launched at the end of last year (http://thenewstage.ru/), the authors of this article being in charge of its design and technical support. This article analyses the phenomenon of the virtual museum as one of the key features of post-postmodernism. It describes the way modern science masters virtual reality. The article gives classification of the virtual museums and indicates specific features. In details it tells about the creation of virtual museum.
