Abstract

This chapter introduces several financial systems that can be used by companies to comply with the tough new regulatory demands of Sarbanes-Oxley Act in the U.S. and similar legislation and codes of practice. To comply with the tough new regulatory demand, companies are investing heavily in upgrading their enterprise resource planning (ERP) and other financial systems. In this chapter, the authors argue that new-generation tax engines are the answer to the growing regulatory demands and explain how to install them.
