A case of liposarcoma of the perineum and scrotum, which presented as a huge haematoma and was left in place for three years prior to excision, is presented. The patient was treated by wide excision of the tumour, orchiopexy to the inguinal region and radiotherapy. To date, 30 months following surgery, the patient is completely asymptomatic and no tumour recurrence is evident either on physical and rectal examinations or on chest X-rays, ultrasonography and abdominal and pelvic computerized tomography. A patient with large branched staghorn calculi was treated with ESWL. She suffered from recurrent urinary tract infections. Following ESWL she developed a perinephric abscess, which necessitated percutaneous drainage. Improved surgical techniques and instrumentation may facilitate an aggressive approach in correcting lower urinary tract abnormality in one stage in seriously ill children, but nevertheless be complicated and dangerous. Temporary diversion is still being used by some as a life-saving procedure as well as for salvage of the kidneys initially. Pelvi-uretero-cutaneostomy en-Y (PUC en-Y) has been proved to be a very useful approach with some advantages over the other temporary drainage procedures. Ureteral seminal vesicle anomaly associated with ipsilateral renal agenesis is a rare occurrence. Cystic anomaly of the seminal vesicle may be asymptomatic or discovered by rectal examination and cystoscopy for evaluation of bladder irritative symptoms, perineal and testicular pain, ejaculatory disturbances and rarely infertility.
