This research is based on the Derivative/Integration of the Power Spectrum for the reduction of noise in a periodic signal. The performed procedure, joined to a convolution process, results in the detection of the original values of amplitude, phase and frequency of the spectral components of the periodic signal. In this paper, second-order statistics foundations are presented and the validation of the proposed algorithm is exposed in both theoretical and practical sense. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
