Here, a typical microwave hydrothermal-assisted synthesis method is utilized to fabricate Co/Sn co-doped Cu 3 SbSe 4 materials. Experimental results demonstrate that the formation of a nanoscale Co 9 Se 8 phase occurs when the solid solubility of Co is exceeded. This phase effectively enhances phonon scattering at the grain boundary's high-density dislocation region, leading to a significant reduction in lattice thermal conductivity. Simultaneously, the interface between Co 9 Se 8 and Cu 3 SbSe 4 exhibits an energy filtering effect, resulting in an improved Seebeck coefficient. The maximum zT value of 0.62 is achieved in the Cu 3 Sb 0.96 Co 0.04 Se 4 sample. To further regulate the carrier concentration, Sn atoms are introduced, leading to peak power factor and zT values of 865.98 μW·m−1·K−2 and 0.72, respectively. The incorporation of Co and Sn doping contributes to the enhancement of mechanical properties by reinforcing covalent bonds. Mechanical property testing of the materials indicates an improvement in mechanical performance upon doping with Co and Sn. This study provides valuable insights into the in-situ introduction of a second phase through element doping, thereby enhancing the comprehensive thermoelectric properties of Cu 3 SbSe 4 -based materials. • Evolution of Microstructure of Alloy Aged at 800 °C for 100–10000 h. • A new method of identifying TCP phase. • Three-dimensional characterization of microstructure. The microstructure stability, evolution law and identification of carbide and harmful phase TCP of nickel-base powder superalloy aged at 800 ℃ for 100 h —10000 h were studied by means of field emission scanning electron microscope, atomic force microscope and electron backscatter diffraction. The results show that with the increase of aging time, the grain size changed little, the grain boundary coarsened and the twin boundary Σ3 increased first and then decreased. γ' phase coarsened obviously from 500 h aging, and the coarsening rate increased first and then decreased The coarsening mechanism is mainly the combination of adjacent γ' phase by AFM analysis. Lath-like σ phase CrCo precipitated at the grain boundary first after aging for 1000 h. When the aging time was up to 2000 h, the needle-like μ phase Co 7 (W, Mo) 6 was observed in the crystal. With the further increase of aging time, the total content of TCP phase at grain boundary and in crystal increased obviously. However, at 10000 h, the TCP phase in the crystal and at the grain boundary almost disappeared, mainly because the atoms in the TCP phase diffused into the γ' phase to form a new solid solution and deposited on the grain boundary, which further coarsened the grain boundary. • A three-dimensional Ni,Co-embedded CNT-coated N-doped hollow porous carbon (Ni/Co-CNT/NHPC) cathode has been designed and prepared for lithium-sulfur battery. • The Ni/Co-CNT/NHPC-S cathode possesses a high specific capacity of 1352 mA h g-1 and an excellent cycle stability at 1 C with low capacity decay of 0.094% per cycle over 500 cycles. • The mechanism of suppressing the shuttle effect on the cathode materials is discussed by analyzing adsorption experiments and density functional theory（DFT）calculation. Lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries have attracted great attentions due to their high specific capacity. However, the poor cycle stability caused by polysulfide shuttles, volume expansion and formation of lithium dendrites limit their practical applications. In the present work, to tackle the poor stability and unstable rate capability, a MOF-doping strategy is developed to construct a hollow porous carbon framework，which consists of Ni, Co particles and CNT on a N-doped shell surface (Ni/Co-CNT/NHPC). This hollow framework increases the load of S, slows down the volume changes, and can physically entrap soluble polysulfide. It is found that the CNT-coated network structure is beneficial for optimizing the conductivity and wettability of the material, which accelerates the reaction kinetics. Moreover, synergistic effect of abundant defects and Ni, Co nanoparticles strengthens the chemisorption of polysulfides, which suppresses the shuttle effect. As a consequence, the Ni/Co-CNT/NHPC-S cathode harvests a high specific capacity (1352 mA h g-1), and shows an excellent cycling stability at 1 C with low capacity decay of 0.094% over 500 cycles.
