Abstract
The article provides new briefs for the "Journal of American History" ("JAH") as of March 2013. The journal is looking for historians to submit papers on the U.S. Civil War. The periodical also launched a podcast section on its web site. Historian Kristen Hoganson won the 2012 Wayne D. Rasmussen Award from the Agricultural History Society for her article "Meat in the Middle: Converging Borderlands in the U.S. Midwest, 1865-1900," which was published in the journal.
