Abstract

The study employs the Landau theory to explain the behavior of the metallic compressible magnets driven toward a quantum critical point. The coupling of the magnets is shown to lead to the generation of first order transitions in them.

Abstract

A dynamic model of the asymmetric Ising glass is described, where the Ising model has antiferromagnet bonds (-J) and ferromagnetic bonds (+J) with probabilities q and 1-q. The model is used for describing the properties of doped ZnO where the magnetization is reduced when the exchange interactions have changed with time.
