High field magnetization in Sm2Fe17N3.0 was studied using dc magnetic measurements. The results showed that the hard axis magnetization at 4.2 K was 78% of the easy-axis value in the 260 kOe field. However, it almost saturated at the same field at 296 K and the saturation value was approximately 3% less than that along the easy axis. When the field was applied along the hard axis at 296 K, the Sm magnetic moment rotated away from the field direction and at the saturation field.

The structural parameters and magnetic moments of metal atoms in nitrogenated Nd2Fe17Nx were investigated using high resolution neutron powder diffraction and Rietveld profile-fitting calculations. The results showed that the magnetic moments of the iron atoms increased along with the nitrogen concentration. The local atomic group composed of two Fe atoms at the 6c site managed to retain its shape despite the increase in nitrogen.

The crystal structure and ferromagnetic characteristics of Mn3+deltaGa1-xGex alloys were investigated using magnetization and x-ray diffraction analysis. The results showed that below 170 K, the hexagonal structure became distorted to an orthorhombic one. In addition, a sharp increase in the ferromagnetic component was observed. The structure was stable at 600 degrees celsius in the whole composition range studied.
