As Truncatipennes ground beetles of the subfamily Lebiinae, genus AmphimenesBates, 1873 is first recorded from Cambodia by Amphimenes(Amphinemes) rugulipennis(Bates, 1892) and a new species Amphimenes(Amphinemes) wooshinisp. nov. is described here. Descriptions, key, photographs of adults, and some collecting information are provided.

The tribe Danaini is reviewed for the first time from Myanmar. Ten species of four genera belonging to two subtribes are taxonomically described. Identification keys for the subtribes, the genera, and all species are provided. The adult illustrations for all examined species are also presented.

This study was conducted to review the genus Apristus, which has been poorly known in Korea until now, comprising only one species, A. striatusMotschulsky. In this article, we reviewed the genus with the detail diagnostic characters. Among them, A. cuprascensBates is recorded in Korea for the first time. In addition, a key to the Korean Apristusspecies is provided with new points of easy identification of this genus using drawing and photos, including the redescription and diagnostic characters.

All the known Korean species of the genus ObereaDejean, 1835are revised by confirmation of specimen. The recorded species of Korea were very confused and cited sequentially because of lacking confirmation, among them, O. fuscipennis, O. inclusa, and O. pupillata were misidentified as O. atropunctata, O. vittata, and O. heyrovskyi, respectively. And, O. simplexwas synonym of O. atropunctataalready. Totally, 12 species of the genus Obereawere recognized from Korea. Diagnoses, illustrations of habitus male genitalia, host plants, distribution for each species, and a key for Korean Obereaspecies are provided.

The lucanid beetles of the subspecies of Cyclommatus metalliferfrom Indonesia are revised here. Five subspecies are known from Indonesia. Among them, Cyclommatus metallifer otaniiMizunuma and Nagai was confirmed to be a synonym of Cyclommatus metallifer aenomicansParry. Moreover, a new subspecies, Cyclommatus metallifer butonensisssp. nov., is described from Buton Island of Indonesia. The identification key, distributional data, photos of adults, genitalia, and figures for each subspecies are provided.

A genus DaptusFischer von Waldheim, 1823 of the tribe Harpalini Bonelli, 1810(Coleoptera: Carabidae) is reported for the first time from Korea, based on the Daptus vittatusFischer von Waldheim from Incheon, Korea. Redescription of the species and illustrations of diagnostic characteristics, including genitalia characteristics of both sexes, are provided.

Molecular comparison of species belonging to the genus Junoniacollected from Myanmar was completed using mtDNA sequence data from 605-bp cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI). Six species were sequenced, aligned, and used to construct phylogenetic trees. The base composition of the COI sequences was 37.8% T, 15.4% C, 31.4% A, and 15.4% G, revealing strong AT bias (69.2%). The sequence distance of Junoniaranged from 1.5% to 9.0%. Nucleotide substitution primarily occurred through transition rather than transversion. Phylogenetic trees were constructed by the neighbor-joining (NJ) and maximum likelihood methods, using Hypolimnas misippusas the outgroup. Both trees had almost identical topologies. All COI sequences of each species fell in the same cluster as those of the same species obtained from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). Species in Junoniaexhibited the following relationships: (((J. orithya + J. hierta) + J. lemonias lemonias) + J. almana almana) + (J. atlites + J. iphita). The clustering results were almost identical to current morphological classification.

Immature stages of the genus PlagiosternaMotschulsky are described in detail for the first time in Korea. A key for identifying larvae and pupae of Korean Plagiosternais provided, along with illustrations of their habitus and larval tubercle patterns. Some remarks on their systematics are also given.

This study was carried out to ascertain regional gene differences in the carabid beetle, Coptolabrus jankowskii, in Korea. There are eight subspecies of this species in Korea and it is very difficult to identify them due to morphological similarity. The mitochondrial NADH dehydrogenase subunit 5 (ND5) gene of Coptolabrus jankowskiifrom four regions, Sangju, Daegu, Jumbongsan Mountain, and Jejudo Island, was compared. The results showed differences in the base sequence at a total of 57 sites and amino acid variation at 25 sites. The neighbor-joining (NJ) tree and the maximum parsimony (MP) tree were established based on sequence data for ND5. In the NJ tree, the Jeju area (except the Songdangri site) and the Jumbongsan region showed close relationships. In the case of the MP tree, the results were divided into three separate groups: (A) the Songdangri, Jeju area, and the other Korean peninsula regions, except Jumbongsan; (B) the Jeju area, except Songdangri; and (C) the Jumbongsan region.

In this study, Xanthogaleruca aenescensFairmaire is reported for the first time from Korea. An identification key for the genus Xanthogalerucais provided. In addition, the photograph of adult habitus and illustration of male genitalia of X. aenescensFairmaire are given.
