Abstract

The article presents a medical case concerning the cognitive effects of fat embolus syndrome. The patient, a 23-year-old female, discussed in the paper recovered after the development of fat embolus syndrome following an isolated femoral diaphyseal fracture. On comprehensive neuropsychological testing, specific and quantifiable defects in cognitive function were detected.
