The mission of the Risk Reduction Engineering Laboratory is to advance the understanding, development and application of engineering solutions for the prevention or reduction of risks from environmental contamination. This mission is accomplished through basic and applied research studies, engineering technology evaluations, new process developments and demonstration studies. This paper provides an overview of the ongoing pollution prevention research that supports this mission.
