In the marine environment, the use of sonar equipment is very extensive. The widespread application of sonar equipment in military and civilian fields has promoted the rapid development of sonar technology, and the sonar system is gradually developing toward multi-bases and large-scale direction. The analyzing and processing of ocean sonar signals has become an important part of sonar system design. Based on the environmental conditions of the Zhanjiang sea area in Guangdong Province, this paper designs the ocean sonar signal waveforms, analyzes the sonar signals with appropriate methods, and constructs an ocean sonar signal processing platform. The research results show that in the marine environment, multi-base sonar system can realize continuous transmitting of sonar signals and receive echoes to achieve continuous detection of targets. Continuous sonar signals have a lower signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) than pulse sonar signals, but continuous sonar signals have a longer time bandwidth product (TBP), which reduces the negative impact of the ocean environment. The Gold-sequence phase modulated (PM) signals have strong reliability and good concealment performance. The signals can occupy the entire bandwidth. The signal processing is not limited by the number of transmitting stations, but its signal forms are more complicated, the signal analysis is cumbersome, and the processing platform is highly demanded. As China’s tourism industry enters a new era of the happiness industry, tourism livelihood efficiency has become an important basis for testing the development effect of tourism. Based on the perspective of the happiness industry, this paper takes Guangdong Province as an example to evaluate tourism livelihood efficiency in coastal areas. The DEA model and Malmquist model are used to measure tourism livelihood efficiency with the spatial and temporal evolution of 21 cities in Guangdong Province from 2010 to 2017. The results show that the tourism livelihood efficiency of Guangdong Province has reached a good state overall and that tourism development has entered a stage of intensive growth. The evolution of regional tourism efficiency has obvious regional characteristics, with the regional tourism efficiency of the Pearl River Delta being larger than that of eastern Guangdong, the mountainous area and western Guangdong. Based on the status of tourism livelihood efficiency over the years, cities are divided into four types: the strong type, growth type, steady type and stagnation type. Geographical remote sensing imaging technology is used to image the ecological landscape of marine islands, and remote sensing image data of ecological landscape features of marine islands are extracted. In view of the multi-spectral remote sensing data of multi-spectral remote sensing data based on mathematical morphology segmentation method, the extraction of ecological landscape geographic information of marine islands is easy to produce pseudo-edges and miss detection. This paper presents a design method of marine island ecological landscape geography planning based on genetic algorithm based on remote sensing data of marine island ecological landscape. Firstly, geographical remote sensing imaging technology is used to collect remote sensing data of marine island ecological landscape, and image fusion filtering and block matching are carried out for the collected remote sensing image of marine island ecological landscape. Taking the extracted boundary features of marine island ecological landscape as the center moment, the affine invariant moment of remote sensing image of marine island ecological landscape is obtained. Combining with genetic algorithm, the extraction and optimization of marine island ecological landscape geographic information is realized. Taking NanSan Island in Guangdong as an example, the simulation of marine island ecological landscape geographic planning and design is carried out. The results show that the marine island ecological landscape geographic planning and design is reasonable and accurate information detection efficiency is high. This paper aims to study the marine economic efficiency based on a data envelopment analysis (DEA) model. The Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) was taken as the research object, and an input-output index system was established. The research results show that the GBA is developing rapidly, and the spatial layout of the marine economy continues to optimize. In the established input-output index system, the input indicators include the three aspects of marine resources, human resources, and scientific and technological inputs, while the output indicators include marine economic output and environmental output. The marine economic efficiency of the GBA was not high, and the average efficiency values of all regions were less than 1; the average value of Guangdong's marine economic efficiency was the highest, and that of Hong Kong's was the lowest, indicating that they are in an inefficient state. Finally, countermeasures and suggestions are put forward for improving the marine economic investment and enhancing the efficiency of marine economic development. Yu, H. and Xing, L., 2021. Analysis of the spatiotemporal differences in the quality of marine economic growth in China. Journal of Coastal Research, 37(3), 589–600. Scientifically measuring the quality of marine economic growth and fully understanding the actual state of and trends in the evolution of marine economic growth in China are necessary tasks for ensuring the high-quality development of the marine economy. Guided by five development concepts, an evaluation index system is constructed in this article, and the comprehensive entropy weight method is used to measure the spatial and temporal characteristics of the evolution of the quality of marine economic growth in China. The results were as follows. First, the quality of China's marine economic growth was increasing from 2004–2016, and the growth quality index rose significantly from 0.2066 to 0.7753. The central coastal areas from Shandong to Guangdong developed rapidly, with growth range of Guangdong, Shandong, and Shanghai of 0.5644, 0.5329, and 0.5820, respectively, ranking these areas as the top three. However, there are significant differences in provincial-level development, such as the very large gap between Guangdong Province (0.8622) and Guangxi Province (0.6810) in 2016. Second, the quality of China's marine economic growth was high in middle coastal regions and low in the southern and northern coastal regions, with improvements gradually spreading from the middle to the northern and southern regions. Third, the contribution of each of the five concepts—innovation, greenness, coordination, sharing, and openness—is ranked, and each exhibited an upward trend over the sample period. Therefore, measures that implement the five development concepts take advantage of spatial spillover effects and improve the comparative advantage of provinces with high-quality development must be undertaken to cooperatively advance the high-quality development of the marine economy. Changes in sea surface temperature (SST) and sea surface salinity (SSS) in response to the binary typhoons Sarika and Haima (2016) in the offshore and nearshore areas along the Guangdong Province Coast (GPC) and Hainan Island Coast (HIC) in the northern South China Sea are comprehensively investigated using multi-satellite observations and ocean reanalysis data. The results show that the maximum SST cooling was 2.5°C (average 1.5°C) and 6°C (average 2.5°C) after the passage of typhoon Sarika in the HIC nearshore and offshore, respectively. In contrast, the average SST cooling was 1°C in the GPC offshore and very marginal in the GPC nearshore after the passage of typhoon Haima. For SSS, typhoon Sarika induced changes of 0.1 psu and 0.35 psu in the HIC nearshore and offshore, respectively, while typhoon Haima caused changes of -0.1 psu and 0.3 psu in the GPC nearshore and offshore, respectively. The responses of both SST and SSS are similar in the offshores of both the GPC and the HIC. However, they are quite different in the nearshores of the GPC and the HIC. It is found that the nearshore responses to typhoon are quite different depending on the coast conditions: river discharge and advection of coastal current. In the GPC nearshore, the river discharge due to typhoon can lead to larger SSS decrease than that in the HIC nearshore. Besides, the advection of coastal high SSS water from the GPC to the HIC along coast made SSS decrease in the GPC but increase in the HIC. The West Guangdong Ocean Current (WG current) is a special ocean current flowing along the West Guangdong coastline, China. It has significant impact on the nearshore area, and it will make the nearshore current movement complex after superposing on the tidal currents. A comprehensive investigation of the WG current is mandatory especially to the construction of nearshore harbors. However, at present, the nature of WG current is still not well clarified. Based on a series of filed survey datasets carried out in different representative seasons, the movement characteristics of the WG current are analyzed by using a residual flow extracting method. The results indicate that the WG current direction points to southwest in the entire year, which does not accord with the dominant monsoon direction especially in summer, and the current speed shows significant seasonal variation. The current speed increases at the first 10 km away from shoreline, and then becomes approximately uniform. Besides, the current speed is larger in summer than that in winter. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The economic circle of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) has an important impact on China's economic development and surrounding economic cooperation. Zhuhai plays a non-negligible position in the economic construction of the GBA. To build the GBA into a global advanced economic center, it's important to promote Zhuhai's economic position in the GBA. For this, the authors attempt to systematically study the position enhancement and development strategies of Zhuhai in the GBA. First the position of GBA in the global integrated economy was analyzed. Then, it discusses about the economic development trend of Zhuhai, and proposes corresponding economic development countermeasures and industrial structure optimization methods. The study found that compared with other cities in the GBA, Zhuhai has a relatively higher economic growth rate, a better investment environment, and greater potentials for development; the proportions of the secondary and tertiary industries in Zhuhai are almost the same; to maintain long-term economic development, Zhuhai needs to increase the proportion of the primary industry and optimize the industrial structure.
