•Colistin and minocycline were the two most susceptible antibiotics to CRAB in ICUs.•Combination of colistin and carbapenem was associated with decreased 7-day mortality.•Sulbactam-containing regimen was associated with decreased 28-day mortality.•Minocycline-containing regimen showed the best microbiological responses.

•The level of ASP establishment was more limited in primary care hospitals than in secondary- and tertiary care hospitals in Korea.•The median number was 0 for all types of medical personnel participating in ASPs in secondary- and primary care hospitals•A supporting workforce and the establishment of a healthcare fee for ASPs seem to be necessary.
