Very recently Jain et al. (J. Inequal. Appl. 2022:73, 2022) introduced the concept of multivalued F-contraction with altering distance function and investigated the existence of best proximity points for this class of mappings. In this article we prove that the existence of best proximity points for multivalued F-contraction non-self mappings can be obtained from the corresponding fixed point result for multivalued F-contraction self mappings, and so the main conclusion due to Jain et al. is not a real generalization of fixed point theory. In a recently published theorem on the split common fixed point problem for strict pseudocontractive and asymptotically nonexpansive mappings, Tang et al. (J. Inequal. Appl. 2015:305, 2015) studied a uniformly convex and 2-uniformly smooth real Banach space with the Opial property and best smoothness constant κ satisfying the condition 0 < κ < 1 2 , as a real Banach space more general than Hilbert spaces. A well-known example of a uniformly convex and 2-uniformly smooth real Banach space with the Opial property is E = l p , 2 ≤ p < ∞ . It is shown in this paper that, if κ is the best smoothness constant of E and satisfies the condition 0 < κ ≤ 1 2 , then E is necessarily l 2 , a real Hilbert space. In this paper, a (p , q) -fractional nonlinear difference equation of different orders is considered and discussed. With the help of (p , q) -calculus for integrals and derivatives properties, we convert the main integral boundary value problem (IBVP) to an equivalent solution in the form of an integral equation, we use the upper–lower solution technique to prove the existence of positive solutions. In this paper, motivated by Reich contraction and tool of measure of noncompactness, some generalizations of Reich, Kannan, Darbo, Sadovskii, and Krasnoselskii type fixed point results are presented by considering a pair of maps A, B on a nonempty closed subset M of a Banach space X into X. The existence of a solution to the equation A x + B x = x , where A is k-set contractive and B is a generalized Reich contraction, is established. As applications, it is established that the main result of this paper can be applied to learn conditions under which a solution of a nonlinear integral equation exists. Further we explain this phenomenon with the help of a practical example to approximate such solutions by using fixed point techniques. In this paper, we introduce new types of contraction mappings named S-Pata-type contraction mapping and Generalized S-Pata-type contraction mapping in the framework of S-metric space. Then, we prove some new fixed-point results for S-Pata-type contraction mappings and Generalized S-Pata-type contraction mappings. We explore the intermixed method for finding a common element of the intersection of the solution set of a mixed variational inequality and the fixed point set of a nonexpansive mapping. We point out that Khuangsatung and Kangtunyakarn's statement [J. Inequal. Appl. 2023:1, 2023] regarding the resolvent utilized in their paper is not correct. In this paper, we introduce two types of weak enriched contractions, namely weak enriched F -contraction, weak enriched F ′ -contraction, and k-fold averaged mapping based on Kirk's iterative algorithm of order k. The types of contractions introduced herein unify, extend, and generalize several existing classes of enriched and weak enriched contraction mappings. Moreover, K-fold averaged mappings can be viewed as a generalization of the averaged mappings and double averaged mappings. We then prove the existence of a unique fixed point of the k-fold averaged mapping associated with weak enriched contractions introduced herein. We study necessary conditions that guarantee the equality of the sets of fixed points of the k-fold averaged mapping and weak enriched contractions. We show that an appropriate Kirk's iterative algorithm can be used to approximate a fixed point of a k-fold averaged mapping and of the two weak enriched contractions. We also study the well-posedness, limit shadowing property, and Ulam–Hyers stability of the k-fold averaged mapping. We provide necessary conditions that ensure the periodic point property of each illustrated weak enriched contraction. We prove two key inequalities for metric and generalized projections in a certain Banach space. We then obtain some asymptotic behavior of a sequence generated by the shrinking projection method introduced by Takahashi et al. (J. Math. Anal. Appl. 341:276–286, 2008) where the computation allows some nonsummable errors. We follow the idea proposed by Kimura (Banach and Function Spaces IV (ISBFS 2012), pp. 303–311, 2014). In this paper, we introduce the notion of graphical cone metric spaces over Banach algebra and prove some fixed point results for a particular type of contractive mappings defined on such spaces. This paper introduces a triple-adaptive subgradient extragradient process with extrapolation to solve a bilevel split pseudomonotone variational inequality problem (BSPVIP) with the common fixed point problem constraint of finitely many nonexpansive mappings. The problem under consideration is in real Hilbert spaces, where the BSPVIP involves a fixed point problem of demimetric mapping. The proposed rule exploits the strong monotonicity of one operator at the upper level and the pseudomonotonicity of another mapping at the lower level. In this paper, we introduce two new concepts of F-contraction, called dual F ∗ -weak contraction and triple F ∗ -weak contraction, which generalize the existing contractions in the sense of Wardowski, Jleli and Samet as well as Skof. These new generalizations embed their roots in the aim devoted to extending the generalized Banach contraction conjuncture to the class of F-contraction type mappings with the use of multiple F-type functions. Furthermore, we establish the existence of a unique fixed point for such contractions under certain conditions. Fractional calculus can be used to precisely change or control the fractal dimension of any random or deterministic fractal with coordinates that can be expressed as functions of one independent variable. We apply our main result to weaken certain conditions on the fractional integral equations. A coupled system of nonlinear self-adjoint second-order ordinary differential inclusions supplemented with nonlocal nonseparated coupled integral boundary conditions on an arbitrary domain is studied. The existence results for convex and nonconvex valued maps involved in the given problem are proved by applying the nonlinear alternative of Leray–Schauder for multivalued maps and Covitz–Nadler's fixed point theorem for contractive multivalued maps, respectively. The aim of this paper is to prove some new fixed point results for a pair of multivalued dominated locally contractive mappings in b-multiplicative metric space. Further, fixed point theorems for multigraph-dominated mappings are also established. In this paper, we consider a distributed optimization problem of minimizing sum of convex functions over the intersection of fixed-point constraints. We propose a distributed method for solving the problem. We prove the convergence of the generated sequence to the solution of the problem under certain assumption. In this paper, we prove that a three-step iteration process is stable for contractive-like mappings. It is also proved analytically and numerically that the considered process converges faster than some remarkable iterative processes for contractive-like mappings. In this paper, using a Bregman distance technique, we introduce a new single projection process for approximating a common element in the set of solutions of variational inequalities involving a pseudo-monotone operator and the set of common fixed points of a finite family of Bregman quasi-nonexpansive mappings in a real reflexive Banach space. The stepsize of our algorithm is determined by a self-adaptive method, and we prove a strong convergence result under certain mild conditions. In this paper, we introduce a new inertial self-adaptive projection method for finding a common element in the set of solution of pseudomonotone variational inequality problem and set of fixed point of a pseudocontractive mapping in real Hilbert spaces. In this paper, we introduce a new extension of the double controlled metric-type spaces, called double controlled metric-like spaces, by assuming that the "self-distance" may not be zero On the other hand, if the value of the metric is zero, then it has to be a "self-distance" (i.e., we replace [ ς (g , h) = 0 ⇔ g = h ] by [ ς (g , h) = 0 ⇒ g = h ] ). In this paper, a two-steps modifying Halpern iteration for Bregman strongly nonexpansive multi-valued mappings in the framework of reflexive Banach spaces is established. Under suitable limit conditions, some strong convergence theorems for this iteration are proved. The objective of this research is to present new fixed point theorems for two separate families of fuzzy-dominated mappings. These mappings must satisfy a unique locally contraction in a complete b-multiplicative metric space. Also, we have obtained novel results for families of fuzzy-dominated mappings on a closed ball that meet the requirements of a generalized locally contraction. This research introduces new and challenging fixed-point problems for families of ordered fuzzy-dominated mappings in ordered complete b-multiplicative metric spaces. Moreover, we demonstrate a new concept for families of fuzzy graph-dominated mappings on a closed ball in these spaces. Additionally, we present novel findings for graphic contraction endowed with graphic structure. These findings are groundbreaking and provide a strong foundation for future research in this field. In this paper, we present a generalization of a combinatorial lemma we stated and proved in a recent work. Then we apply the generalized lemma to prove: (1) a theorem on the existence of a zero for an excess demand mapping, (2) the existence of a continuum of zeros for a parameterized excess demand mapping, (3) Sperner's lemma on labelings of triangulations. In this paper, we establish the existence of solutions to systems of Hammerstein integral inclusions under mixed monotonicity type conditions. Existence of solutions to systems of differential inclusions with initial value condition or periodic boundary value condition are also obtained.
