Research into four reactions of ground state lead atoms in a high-temperature fast-flow reactor is presented. It was established that the Pb/O2 system seems to be dominated by heterogeneous processes.

Research is presented demonstrating evidence of a bimolecular dehydration reaction, which is promoted when N is smaller or equal than 3, by observing the mass spectra of mixed methanol/lead cluster ions.

Structural, energetic and vibrational data for the species involved in the unimolecular dissociation reaction Ah4 --> AH2 + H2, A = Si, Ge, Sn, Pb, are presented. The stability of the molecular complexes is explained as a result of a small transfer of electrons from the hydrogen molecule to the dihydride.

The cation and anion products of the reactions between lead clusters produced in the laser ablation and the benzene molecules seeded in argon are studied by high-resolution reflectron time-of-flight mass spectrometer (RTOFMS). Two conspicuously different and independent reaction mechanisms for lead cluster cations and anions are proposed.
