The (6,0)[16.0]1.5–X2Δ5/2and (7,0)[16.0]3.5–X2Δ5/2bands of IrSi have been recorded using high-resolutionlaser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy. The field-free spectra ofthe 191IrSi and 193IrSi isotopologues were modeledto generate a set of fine, magnetic hyperfine, and nuclear quadrupolehyperfine parameters for the X2Δ5/2(v= 0), [16.0]1.5(v= 6), and [16.0]3.5(v= 7) states. The observed optical Stark shiftsfor the 193IrSi and 191IrSi isotopologues wereanalyzed to produce the permanent electric dipole moments, μel, of −0.414(6) D and 0.782(6) D for the X2Δ5/2and [16.0]1.5 (v= 6) states,respectively. Properties of the X2Δ5/2state computed using relativistic coupled-cluster methods clearlyindicate that electron correlation plays an essential role. Specifically,inclusion of correlation changes the sign of the dipole moment andis essential for achieving good accuracy for the nuclear quadrupolecoupling parameter eQq0. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The [17.8]0+–X1Σ+(0,0) band of gold monofluoride, AuF,has been recorded at a resolutionof 40 MHz both field free and in the presence of a static electricand magnetic field. The observed Stark shifts were analyzed to determinethe permanent electric dipole moment, μel, of 2.03± 0.05 D and 4.13 ± 0.02 D, for the [17.8]0+(v= 0) and X1Σ+(v= 0) states, respectively. The small magnetic tuning observed forthe [17.8]0+(v= 0) state is attributedto rotational and magnetic field mixing with the [17.7]1 state andhas been successfully modeled using an effective Hamiltonian for the 3Π state. The laser induced fluorescence (LIF) spectra of the D1Π--X1Σ1(0,0) band of a rotationally cold (<20 K) molecular beam sample of scandium monohydride, ScH, and scandium monodeutende, ScD, were recorded without and in the presence of a static electric field. The fine and magnetic hyperfine parameters for the X1Σ+(v=0) and D1Π(v=O) states w of ScH and ScD were determined from the analysis of the field- free spectra. An unexpected isotopic dependence of the 4SSc- (/-7/2) magnetic hyperfine interaction was observed. The lowest J-levels of the D1Π(v=O) state of ScH are not perturbed, but the corresponding levels for ScD are strongly perturbed. The observed electric field induced splitting, broadenings, and shifts were analyzed to produce permanent electric dipole moments, μ&#969 of 1.74 ± 0.15 and 2.177 ± 0.006 D for the X1Σ+(v=0) and D1Π(v=O) states, respectively. Medium resolution (Δν̃ ∼ 3 GHz) laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) excitation spectra of a rotationally cold sample of YbOH in the 17300-17950 cm -1 range have been recorded using two-dimensional (excitation and dispersed fluorescence) spectroscopy. High resolution (Δλ ∼ 0.65 nm) dispersed laser-induced fluorescence (DLIF) spectra and radiative decay curves of numerous bands detected in the medium resolution LIF excitation spectra were recorded. The vibronic energy levels of the X̃ 2 Σ + state were predicted using a discrete variable representation approach and compared with observations. The radiative decay curves were analyzed to produce fluorescence lifetimes. DLIF spectra resulting from high resolution (Δν̃ < 10 MHz) LIF excitation of individual low-rotational lines in the  Ã 2 Π 1/2 (0,0,0)-X̃ 2 Σ + (0,0,0), Ã 2 Π 1/2 (1,0,0)-X̃ 2 Σ + (0,0,0), and [17.73]Ω = 0.5(0,0,0)-X̃ 2 Σ + (0,0,0) bands were also recorded. The DLIF spectra were analyzed to determine branching ratios which were combined with radiative lifetimes to obtain transition dipole moments. The implications for laser cooling and trapping of YbOH are discussed.

The R(4.5) and P(6.5) branch features of the XX (0, 0) band of praseodymium monoxide (PrO) have been studied at a resolution of approximately 50 MHz field free and in the presence of static electric and magnetic fields. The permanent electric dipole moments, mu(el), of 3.01(6) D and 4.72(5) D for the X(2) (Omega = 4.5) and [18.1] (Omega = 5.5) states, respectively, were determined from the analysis of the Stark spectra. The magnetic g(e)-factors of 4.48(8) and 5.73(6) for the X(2) (Omega = 4.5) and [18.1] (Omega = 5.5) states, respectively, were determined from the analysis of the Zeeman spectra. The g(e)-factors are compared with those computed using wave functions predicted from ligand field theory and ab initio calculations. The mu(el) value for the X(2) (Omega = 4.5) state is compared to ab initio and density functional predicted values and with the experimental values of other lanthanide monoxides.
