Converting a compression-ignition thermal plant to gas-liquid operation is one way to neutralize the danger of waste while maintaining the high efficiency of the engine corresponding to the original modification. Although debugging the functioning of a gas-liquid installation is a significantly problematic task, since we are dealing with a large number of interrelated properties. Therefore, optimizing the injection of diesel fuel (DF)/methane by solving a problem with several unknowns was one of the goals of our research. More than 10 parameters must be taken into account for the modeling to be adequate, including the initial (flammable) DF injection. In our experiments, the volume of the ignition DF was determined to be optimal in the amount of 0.15...0.20 relative to the single-fuel modification, respectively, the duration of fuel injection changed proportionally.

The combustion of hydrocarbon fuels in the combustion chambers of diesel engines is preceded by processes of both physical and chemical transformations. The nature of the chemical transformations and their effect on the workflow are usually not taken into account. Meanwhile, their role in ensuring the efficiency of the workflow is very large. Chemical transformations in hydrocarbon fuels in combustion chambers cause the appearance of products capable of self-ignition under the influence of temperatures and pressures arising at the end of the compression stroke. The chain of these transformations ends with the formation of soot particles, the burning of which with abundant heat release in the form of radiant energy has a significant effect on the value of the indicator efficiency. The content and ways of influencing chemical transformations in fuel are considered, as well as the use of these transformations in increasing the combustion efficiency of fuels and increasing the indicator efficiency.

The article presents a synthesis technique for controlling the stabilization of a reverse pendulum, which does not require repeated code generation when making changes to the parameters of the control object. The problem of developing a feedback control system for a reverse pendulum controlled by a gyrodine is considered. The main tool for developing a control system is a combination of a real-time control system based on STM32 and an external computer based on ROS.

The scientific article shows the application of the method of continuous wavelet data transform to estimate soil breaking up when tilling. Due to the high speed of experimental data processing, it became possible to reduce the total time of soil section scanning for determining its agrotechnical parameters. The reduction of time is achieved by both choosing the type of spiral along which scanning is performed and choosing the angular velocity. On the whole, scanning is performed twice as fast per one revolution depending on the studied area of the field. In some cases the number of revolutions can be reduced by 3-5 times.

The research presents a study of the fundamental possibility of realizing the contactless recording of information a complex for express diagnostics of an organism for the presence of infectious agents, which was called diagnostic complex “Intest”. The mathematical model of the interaction of the laser radiation with the surface of the crystal was built. Calculations were performed in the COMSOL 5.5 software package. MegaScience projects are unique scientific experiments and facilities of a large scale that were initiated to allow to go beyond modern knowledge in the field of fundamental sciences and open up new opportunities in the technological development. The implementation of such complex projects requires the combined efforts of many scientists and institutions at national and multinational level. The paper presents an analysis of new trends in the training of researchers in the field of elementary particle physics, high energy physics and cosmophysics for research projects and experiments at MegaScience facilities. The authors consider the vast experience of extensive training of MEPhI students for fundamental science and analyzed new approaches to organizing the individual training of researchers at the university. The result of this work was presented and discussed within the proceedings of the Third Conference “Personnel training and legal support for the implementation of scientific projects of the Mega-science class” organized by National Research Nuclear University MEPhI and Kutafin Moscow State Law University on 17 June 2021.

We report the phonon spectra of core/shell CdSe/CdS nanoplatelets with different shell thicknesses studied using Raman scattering. The nanoplatelets are rectangular colloidal nanocrystals, with thicknesses of core and shell layers of a few nanometers. The Raman spectra show features corresponding to the dominating longitudinal optical (LO) and surface optical (SO) phonon modes of the CdSe core in CdS shell located in the frequency regions of 200-210 and 250-290 cm-1, respectively. As the shell thickness increases, the phonon modes reveal a frequency shift and a change in intensity. The frequency shift associated with a change in the stress state in the core and shell, as well as with confinement effects is discussed. The phonon mode intensities are determined by the thickness of the shell and the proximity to resonant Raman scattering conditions.

The rate of oxidation of carbon (including its dispersed forms) has a value much higher than the rate of gasification. Therefore, in the initial part of the flame, when oxygen is still contained in the gas phase, the oxidation of soot will be the process on which the change in the size and concentration of dispersed carbon particles mainly depends. The intensity of oxidation and gasification of dispersed carbon in the flame largely depends on the development of the mixing process, determined by the aerodynamics of the fuel and air jets. The paper presents an analysis of the influence of mixing processes on the oxidation and gasification of dispersed carbon in a natural gas flame in the study of homogeneous flames and mixing of turbulent jets. The results of industrial studies of the mixing of fuel and air in a diffusion torch are taken into account. The results allow us to evaluate the influence of various aerodynamic factors on the processes occurring in the glowing flame of natural gas in the combustion chamber of gas diesel.

The photoluminescence and nonlinear transmission of atomically thin population of colloidal CdSe rolled-up nanosheets were investigated at the one-photon stationary excitations of excitons by the third harmonic of Nd3+:YAP laser pulses. It was revealed that the nonlinear optical response of the nanoscrolls is strongly influenced by multiwalled rolled-up structure. The broadening of exciton band and the red shift of the photoluminescence were observed and explained by coupling effect within the folded scroll-layers.

In accordance with the priority directions of development of the motor transport complex of the RF, the use of NGV fuel in transport should expand and by 2035 reach 50% of the total number of trucks and buses in large cities. This is due to a number of factors. The paper presents the results of studies confirming the effectiveness of using natural gas to reduce soot emissions with exhaust gases. In particular, the dynamics of the formation and burnout of soot particles by the angle of rotation of the crankshaft at the working operating mode is considered.

The potential for improving the energy efficiency of diesel generation really exists and can be estimated in real money. Reducing the fuel component is one of the priority areas. This article discusses the problems and possible options for the modernization and reconstruction of diesel generation, including the positive experience of JSC Sakhaenergo of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
