The purpose of this study was to present the case report of a 7-year-old patient who was treated with hip arthroscopy for an acetabular osteoid osteoma. A 7-year-old patient was referred to our clinic with hip pain. In the assessment of the patient, an acetabular osteoid osteoma was detected in his right hip; it was adjacent to his triradiate cartilage. An arthroscopic surgery was planned as an alternative to open safe hip dislocation. The osteoid osteoma was completely removed with hip arthroscopy. Postoperative CT scanning and histopathological analysis confirmed the diagnosis. Exposure of the acetabulum can be problematic in paediatric patients due to the potential risks of open safe dislocation. The objective of this article was to emphasize the importance of including less common causes of hip pain in a differential diagnosis, particularly when clinical and radiographic variables are atypical. This article presents the case of a 52-year-old patient with a history of progressive hip pain resulting from the coexistence of both a femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) and an intraarticular osteoid osteoma. The intraarticular osteoid osteoma was initially overlooked due to its unremarkable features on radiographic and resonance imaging. Consequently, the patient was surgically treated for FAI with only partial relief. An osteolytic nidus characteristic of osteoid osteoma was discovered only 1.5 years following surgery. The patient was subsequently treated for osteoid osteoma with anti-inflammatories, after which his pain began to resolve. The patient was completely pain free after 7 months. Level of evidence V. Cancellous osteoid osteoma of the talus near the subtalar joint is rare, and the treatment is very challenging. We present the first case of arthroscopic excision of juxtaarticular cancellous osteoid osteoma in the talar neck near the subtalar joint. After confirming the nidus of the osteoid osteoma with computer tomography, the lesion was completely removed with a motorized bur under arthroscopy, and the patient's pain disappeared immediately after surgery. This case report demonstrates that a cancellous osteoid osteoma in the talar neck near the subtalar joint can be treated by arthroscopic excision and good results could be obtained. Osteoid osteoma is a benign, osteoblastic and painful tumoral lesion. Apart from en-bloc resection, intralesional resection and percutaneous excision or destruction of the nidus, arthroscopic removal of the lesion in intraarticular locations have been reported. Though osteoid osteoma is a common primary benign lesion of the bones, intra-articular involvement is rare and poses diagnostic difficulties when it affects middle-aged patients. We present the case of a 51-year-old woman with a 2.5 year history of anterior knee pain that was misdiagnosed as osteochondritis dissecans. Juxta-articular osteoid osteomas arising around the ankle are unusual. Tumors arising on the neck of the talus will commonly produce symptoms mimicking monoarticular arthritis or trauma. Patients are usually treated for arthritis or ankle sprain, which often leads to a delay in definitive diagnosis. In this case report, we describe the arthroscopic removal of an osteoid osteoma from the acetabulum in a young adolescent. After identifying the osteoid osteoma close to the cartilage with MRI and CT investigations, we decided that in this case, arthroscopic removal was the best treatment. In the case of an osteoid osteoma in the acetabulum close to the cartilage, arthroscopic removal should be considered as one can treat the associated osteochondritic lesion during this procedure. Osteoid osteoma in the acetabulum is very rare and the surgical extirpation is difficult. We present a case of osteoid osteoma in the posteroinferior portion of the acetabulum which was treated with arthroscopic excision. A 29-year-old woman presented with 18 months of pain in the left groin. Computed tomography suggested an osteoid osteoma in the posteroinferior portion of the acetabulum. Arthroscopic excision of the lesion was performed with the aid of image intensifier. The patient's symptoms disappeared immediately after the surgery. This case report shows that arthroscopic excision is possible in a lesion in the posteroinferior portion in the acetabulum, which previously deemed inaccessible arthroscopically. We present a case of intra-articular osteoid osteoma of the humerus simulating chronic monoarthritis of the elbow in an 18-year-old male right-handed recreational tennis player. CT revealed a well-defined nidus in the coronoid fossa. Microscopic examination of the synovium showed a lymphofollicular synovitis that resembled the synovitis in rheumatoid arthritis.
