Abstract

In this article the authors discuss an academic-industrial partnership which has been developed between the pharmaceutical company Pfizer Inc. and Brighton and Sussex Medical School in Great Britain that provides a medical undergraduate teaching program which focuses on drug development and the pharmaceutical regulatory approval process. They are critical of the curriculum which is seen in medical undergraduate education and supportive of the partnership.
