Abstract

As surface micro structuring turned out to be capable of improving various tribological systems laser technology got into focus as the prime manufacturing technique for many applications. Besides the design and development of micro structure geometries manufacturing strategies and production systems are required for industry. A comprehensive solution for the hydraulic system market is obtained within a research project called “Stokes”, funded by the EU in the program “Research for SMEs”.
