In this article the author discusses the implication of the move of the Conservatives remake the regulatory system and the Liberal Democrats to remake the banking system in England. The author stresses that the agreement between the two parties provides a basis for analysing the future of banking regulation. The author notes that through the effort, the Bank of England will be given control of macro-prudential regulation and the oversight of micro-prudential regulation.
