The article offers information on the Alaska and Polar Regions Collections & Archives (APRCA), formally founded by Paul McCarthy in 1965 at the Elmer E. Rasmuson Library at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. Topics discussed include statement from Rachel Cohen, archivist and curator of rare books and maps at APRCA, on the growth of the archives, history of the regions, and the focus of the archives on acquiring materials from interior Alaska and the Aleutian Island chain.
