Reports that the first institution dedicated to creating bibliographies, the Center for Bibliographical Studies and Research (CBSR), has been established at the University of California at Riverside (UCR). Evolution of the CBSR from UCR's Eaton Program in Science Fiction and Fantasy, and the 18th-Century Short Title Catalog (STC), two bibliographical research projects; Descriptions of the 18th-Century STC and the Eaton Collection; Outlook for the CBSR to be directed by history professor Henry L. Snyder.
