The paper explores and analyses the trend of world literature on "Coronavirus Disease" in terms of the output of research publications as indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E) of Web of Science during the period from 2011 to 2020. The study found that 6071 research records have been published on Coronavirus Disease till March 20, 2020. The various scientometric components of the research records published in the study period were studied. The study reveals the various aspects of Coronavirus Disease literature such as year wise distribution, relative growth rate, doubling time of literature, geographical wise, organization wise, language wise, form wise, most prolific authors, and source wise. The highest number of articles was published in the year 2019, while lowest numbers of research article were reported in the year 2020. Further, the relative growth rate is gradually increases and on the other hand doubling time decreases. Most of the research publications are published in English language and most of the publications published in the form of research articles. Research papers published covid-19 during 1989-2020 and cited at least 100 times. It is founded that 72 countries contributed a total 1000 highly cited research publications and received 227766 Citations (Average Citation Per Articles is 227.766 and Cited References 51830). United States of America (USA) topped in the table with highest citations (86603) for 432 publications followed by China with 83829 citations for 280 Publications, United Kingdom (UK) with 29372 citations for 122 publications. It is also important to note that the top 8 countries have more than 10,000 citations that include Netherlands, Germany, Canada, France, and Saudi Arabia. India stands in the list with 500 citations. University Hong Kong has the most citations (28278) followed by Chinese Academy of Sciences with 14513 GCS, Huazhong University of Science & Technology with 12294 Citations and Wuhan University with 10392 citations. LANCET' is the journal which has got the maximum citations of 22221 (41 records) out of the total 249 Journals followed by 'Journal of Virology' with 22039 citations (139 records) 'NEW ENGLAND JOURNAL OF MEDICINE' with 21213 citations, 'PNAS' with 11216. The prominent journals 'Nature' and 'Science' share the table with 9639 & 9613 citations respectively. It will surprise few recently published (Feb 2020, April 2020, March 2020) that methods papers lead the list of the most cited scientific papers. The Present Study analyzed research output for a period of 5 years between 2015 to and 2019. Web of Science database a service from Clarivate Analytics has been used to download citation and source data. Histcite application software have been used to present the datasets. Analysis part focuses on the parameters like citation impact at local and global level, influential authors and their total output, ranking of contributing institutions and countries. The world is in great chaotic condition due to the outbreak of COVID-19 caused by a novel coronavirus. People are facing havoc in every corner of the world. As it is an actual novel virus, people search everywhere on the internet and other platforms to know much about this lethal virus. This paper examines various aspects of informationseeking behavior and pattern among ordinary people in India through online mode. The data were collected from August to November 2020. This paper also seeks to identify different areas of information need among common people and their problems while searching for desired information. The primary objectives of the paper include examining the users’ activeness towards social media usage, identifying the most preferred information sources by users, and investigating different purposes for seeking information related to COVID-19 by users. This paper attempts to highlight the publication status and growth of Hantavirus/Coronavirus research in India and make quantitative and qualitative assessment by way of analysing various features of research output based on Scopus online database during the period 1975-2020. A total of 3498 publications were published and overall H-Index is 50. The publications peaked in the year 2020 with 3218 publications and most frequently cited one is "Rodriguez-Morales, A.J., Cardona-Ospina, J.A., Gutiérrez-Ocampo, E., Ahmad, T., Sah, R.. (2020) Clinical, laboratory and imaging features of COVID-19: A systematic review and metaanalysis, Travel Medicine and Infectious Disease 34,101623 with 293 citations. The USA topped the list with highest share (374) of publications. United Kingdom with 212 share of publications followed by China with 154 share of publications, Thailand with 119 share of publications, Australia and Italy with 101 share of publications respectively in the context of international collaboration. All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi topped the list with 246 publications, followed by Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh with 178 publications, Dr. D.Y. Coronavirus is a respiratory syndrome, a virus causing stern pneumonia in humans. The results of the Pandemic virus is a high mortality, respiratory infections including common cold, high fever etc. The main objective of the study is to explore the publications trends of Coronavirus research by using R-Studio. Scopus database has been used to extract the bibliographic metadata of the publication between 2010 and April, 2020. A total of 10515 documents were published across the globe on Coronavirus (Covid-19) during the assessment period under consideration. The result of the current study suggests that the earlier outbreak of Coronavirus were understudied. It also observed that; the research volume of the disease, which emerges after an outbreak, is very high and very little on disease prevention. This may receive insufficient research and limited investment in obtaining a complete understanding of coronavirus management and prevention. The United State of America appeared as highest contributor and University of Honk Kong appeared as most productive affiliation during the study. The purpose of present study is to evaluate the growth of scientific literature pertaining to Coronavirus disease 2019(Covid-19). In sum 1630 document published during 01 January 2020 to 6 April, 2020. Publication data were retrieved from SCOPUS databases using key terms and detailed analysis were made to understand the publication trends, authorship and collaborative pattern, country-wise distribution, core journal and most leading institutes. Study found that 82.88% (1351) of the research documents published on open-access platform which signify the rapid communication of research finding among global scientific communities. 'BMJ Clinical Research Ed' found to be most productive journal with 114(6.99%) research articles. China & USA dominates in the publishing research output of 515(31.60%) and 308(18.90%) respectively. Coronavirus, a pandemic threat to human beings, has awakened huge concern worldwide, but no bibliometric studies have been conducted on Coronavirus research during 2011-Feb.2020. The aim of this study is to map research productivity on the Coronavirus based on the articles indexed in the Scopus database. The articles related to Coronavirus dated from 2011 to Feb. 2020 were retrieved from the Scopus database. A total of 7558 papers were retrieved for this study which indexed by the Scopus database during 2010-Feb. 2020. The most productive year is recognized 2015with 1012 (13.38 %) articles while Maximum AGR 40.38 percent was recorded in the year. The USA ranked first with 2373 publications, followed by China with1378 publications while The Journal of Virology published the highest 330 articles followed by PLoS One with 224 articles. Dusten, C. is ranked topmost productive corresponding author (first position) with 108 articles followed by Memish, Z.A. with 107 articles. Medicine subject identified as the top subject for publishing paper on Coronavirus followed by Immunology and Microbiology. The title Isolation of a novel coronavirus from a man with pneumonia in Saudi Arabia received the highest 1346 citations, followed by Immune Signaling by RIG-I-like Receptors with 818 citations. The focus of this paper is to study the usage of social networking sites by the Karnatakites for finding information regarding COVID-19. A web survey was distributed among the targeted participants to collect data for the study. The study findings reported that cent percent of the participants were users of social networking sites in whichWhatsApp, YouTube, and Facebook were the most used SNSs for finding information regarding the COVID-19. The respondents used SNSs mainly to search for information regarding the status of COVID-19 in India as well as at the global level. Most of the respondents (48.8%) agreed that the information available on SNSs regarding COVID-19was informative and up to date. The study also reported that the majority of respondents found the use of social networking sites satisfiable in finding vital information regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. The study is first of its kind to explore the use of SNSs among the Karnatakites for finding information regarding the COVID-19 outbreak. The findings of the study, of course, give proper insights to the digital natives and netizens for using SNSs as information resources, especially during such critical pandemic disease outbreaks. During the national crisis, caused by a novel pandemic such as COVID-19 virus infections, people need authentic information to face such a virus. Libraries need to come forward in such a situation as primary sources of trustworthy information by providing rapid and easy access to those seeking authentic information sources. In this crisis, giving Remote Access, Virtual Library, eresources, Ask the Librarian reference services to the user in real-time and at scale for a range of scientific-and policy-related responses can be very significant to the academic and research community. The present study has collected data from authentic information sources, mainly Government official portals of Indian states such as the MyGov COVID-19, UTs, and National/International agencies, etc. After analyzing and studying the data, the authentic information sources served to the research community are listed out. This paper also highlights the ratio of COVID-19 publications and highly cited publication of the same, using the Scopus abstracting databases. The goal of this research was to see how the internet helped to bridge the digital divide between Jordanians during the Coronavirus outbreak. A quantitative approach is adopted. 210 questionnaire forms were distributed randomly to the members of the sample through using: (https://docs.google.com). They were distributed using email and WhatsApp. 200 forms were analyzed. They represent 95% of the distributed forms. The questionnaire consists of 20 statements. It was found that there is a digital divide between the members of Jordanian society. It was found that the availability of smart devices and the internet enables the members of Jordanian society to overcome this divide. Such availability enables the members of the Jordanian society to acquire knowledge, including knowledge about the Coronavirus. The current study was carried out during the Coronavirus outbreak. As a result, it will play an important role in closing the digital divide between members of Arab societies in general and Jordanians in particular. It will play an important role in encouraging Jordanians to work together with policymakers to enhance the country's IT infrastructure. The present study adopts a simple methodology for measuring the digital divide between the members of the Jordanian society during the Coronavirus crisis. Narrowing this divide is needed in the light of having many sectors not operating. With the spread of COVID-19 across the globe, a lot changed, diversified, abruptly halted or modified. Different sectors of the different countries were not left out in these changes. Nigeria learning system was also greatly affected and as such learning institutions across the nation had to be shut down till further notice. This begged to answer the question if the Nigeria learning situation has been improved enough to accommodate the technological changes that came with it. There was also the need for Library and Informational Science (LIS) professionals to step in to save the learning situation by creating a smart learning environment for the individuals while considering their uniqueness. The need for learning environments to grow with the technological changes around the globe is on the increase and Nigeria is not left out at all. With the advent of modern technologies on the rise, learning environments have been developed and made flexible and efficient enough for learners to learn effectively in. Learners make use of smart technologies and have access to digital resources through wireless network and to immerse in both personalized and seamless learning. With the exponential technological advances, anything could be instrumented, interconnected, and infused with intelligent design, so is learning and the learning environment. This study was conceived to examine how the Covid-19 pandemic affected learning and brought about the need for upgrades in learning environments. It considers the roles of LIS professionals in creating a smart learning environment. It seeks to examine the technologies and innovations used in creating a smart learning environment as well as challenges associated with the establishment of a smart learning environment by LIS professionals.
